The edge control and gel share packaging. I thought I was getting a larger version of the edge control, but I was drastically disappointed to find a watery substance that couldn't hold my type 4 hair. Please be cautious when buying. It was very disappointing, and I will be returning it immediately.

Excellent hold

This review relates to the product, not the merchant/service.The formula may have been changed. This batch looked more opaque than clear in the jar, although it still goes on clear. The smell is not as strong as before - the grape scent was a nice touch but it being diminished isn't a big deal.Most disappointing is that it no longer activates my curls like it used to and it doesn't hold past application. As soon as it dries, it's like the gel dissipated - no hold. It wasn't like this before. Sucks that I'll have to find a new go-to gel.

The scent was really light. I actually forgot it's supposed to be scented but it work-related. Best edge control I've found yet.
