Excellent!
These are what they promise to be. They perform well, and last as long as you would expect if you take good care of them. I've bought 3 so far. Mine broke after about a year of using them every night, due to me carelessly pulling on the wire too much or too aggressively. I go to sleep with one speaker directly under or next to my ear. As a result, these have enabled me to hear my bedtime stories clearly while my wife, directly next to me, cannot hear the sound that is going directly into my ear.

Able to place them underneath my pillow inside the pillowcase
I had some bedphones which wrap around the ear and found that the back my ear would hurt if I fell asleep on them (which was the point). I decided to give these a try combined with a Bluetooth adapter and it works great! I can fall asleep listening to audiobooks and sleep on my side without my ear hurting. Wish I had figured this out before buying the bedphones for way too much. This solution only cost $20. Those were $140. Ah well. I am able to hear the book with the speaker under my pillow when I turn up the volume to max. With our sound machines on I also have to boost the volume in the app but if we didnt have those I'd be able to hear it without the boost and prob could have the volume a bit lower even though my memory foam pillow

One star for great concept, but ...
one star for the concept - it's great. The wire to the part that plugs in to the device gets broke in a way that you have the jiggle then stops working altogether. This was my 2nd pair. They replaced my 1st pair for the same reason. Sad this happens as it's a great concept.

The most practicable speaker I've found to use for going to sleep
This is my third purchase of these types of speakers during the past few years. I use them to hear audible books, white noise, music, or meditations while falling asleep. The sound quality of these speakers are fine for this type of use. Each time I've purchased one, the product has improved. The adhesive for the fabric covering the speakers on earlier generations of this product would detach over time and it was difficult to distinguish which side of the speaker to place against your ear because both sides were the same color. The adhesive for this item seems very strong and now the sides are different colors: blue and black, which are still difficult to distinguish from each other in a dark bedroom. I usually can tell which side to place against my ear by feeling the differences on each side. It's somewhat comfortable placing the speaker between my ear and pillow, but I wish it was a little softer. Maybe the next generation? It's still the most comfortable of any of the other pillow speakers I've tried. The sound is clear when placed against my ear, but isn't loud enough to disturb others nearby.Where the wires of the two speakers meet, are controls for volume up and down and for pause and play. These are not very distinctive by touch and can be difficult to find the right places to press. I also wish there was a control to rewind or forward for 10 or 15 seconds.

Cozyphone Replacement? Looks, sounds, and feels like it. Quality was lower.
I bought these as a replacement for a set of Cozyphones that finally gave out after a year of regular use. These seem like almost a 1:1 replace for those, however immediately I noticed a few things that make them a less than ideal replacement for someone who uses them for sleeping. There is a volume rocker that is in-line on the headphone cord. At first I thought I would like this, however many times I would set the volume, go to sleep, and somehow in the middle of the night (roll onto the volume rocker?) would wake up to 100%, blaring loud audio. I’ve tried to adjust how I am using these for sleep, but somehow often manage to change the volume while sleeping.Along those same lines, there is a way that Siri (something is being held down on the volume rocker) is constantly being triggered, and waking me up...Well, after just a few weeks of use, the headphone jack connector is very loose (from the connector into the wire leading to the drivers), and the audio cuts out already. These look like, sound like, and feel like Cozyphone replacements. But the quality and design (for a sleeping user) just isn’t the same. Now if you are someone who uses these during the day and doesn’t sleep with them on, you might actually not notice the difference and prefer the volume rocker.

Replaced my Bluetooth speakers in a sleep mask
I wanted a contoured sleep mask (because most bother my long eyelashes) with *wired* speakers (because I dislike constantly having to charge simple items and don’t like fiddling with buttons and settings in the dark), but couldn’t find both in one product. I settled for one of those contoured masks with Bluetooth speakers for a while, then realized I could change out its speakers with something like these. Neat. These are actually thinner than the original speakers, and thus more comfortable. The diameter is bigger (there’s about 3/4 inch of foam around the edges) and it means they don’t move around as much at night. Also neat.I tested the speakers and the left channel does seem to be less loud than the right channel, but I’m not super worried about it; I feel like I can probably just move the speakers around to compensate. If they break quickly or something else turns out to not be all that great, I’ll report back in this review.

Great if They'd Lasted More Than A Week or So.
Purchased to replace my "CozyPhone" inserts, & additionally these have mic. My CozyPhones however lasted a few years. These lasted a few weeks top. Otherwise, thinner, larger radii make this type softer & more comfortable than the usual small, quarter size Bluetooth sleep headphone inserts. Really Long stretchy cord lends nearly equal mobility to Bluetooth styles. I'm a VERY light sleeper & nothing worse than barely drifting off to sleep, only to be jump-scared than that wench inside your headphone's loud admonition: "LOW BATTERY" - & these never need to be charged. If they'd lasted a hot minute, my rating would've approached 5 stars.
