Smart Solar3381MMM1 Programmable Solar Magic Glow

It took us a little while to figure out how to make this globe cycle. It seemed to be stuck on red, or white, or green. Eventually, we got it to cycle and we love it.

I built a 12 foot tall light house in the front yard and put the Smart Solar on top. I let it change colors, which it melds into a new color about every 15-20 seconds. The light is understated, which makes it perfect for a lighthouse top in a neighborhood. Sure, lighthouses have super bright lights, but my neighbors would probably be a bit irritated. I have people drive by during the day to take pictures, then they come back at night to take pictures. So far I couldn't be happier with the light.

We had two of these solar globes for several years. The base was permanently glued to the globe, and leaked on one of them. It was impossible to repair. The second one got blown over and the globe cracked and broke, but the light continues to recharge and work.The ones we just purchased have a base that unscrews from the globe and a rubber seal. Because it disassembles, moisture can be cleaned out of the globes. It looks like the plastic globes could be replaced separately if one shatters, although I don't know if the globes are sold separately. There is also a stake to fix them in the ground or elsewhere. The colors are brilliant and they look beautiful when the sun sets and come on at twilight. This newer pair exceeded expectations.

I purchased 3 of these for my daughters birthday gift. They have a pool and I thought it would be neat to float them and see them change colors. After reading the reviews I found that they aren't sealed well enough to do this, but she loved them anyway and will find a use for them.

Found the same thing at Lowe's For 14.98. I wish I would have waited instead of wasting the money on this. It truly is not worth the $35.64, $14.98 yes.

This was a present for a friend with a pool. I never saw the ball lit up but they have told me several times how great it was. They even called to see where I got it because a friend wanted to get one.

This gazing ball is beautiful...when/IF it works. I'm on my 3rd one in less than a year. The 1st one didn't work upon arrival; the 2nd one worked for a few months; I'm now on my 3rd one...I hope it lasts.The design is very poor! The solar panel is built right into the globe, so when it doesn't work, the whole thing has to be thrown out.I would NOT recommend this product AT ALL!
