If you have a tall bed - buy this comforter!
This is TRULY an over-sized comforter that fits well on high beds! This is on my queen bed, and I bought a queen-sized comforter. From floor to top of my mattress is 35”, and this is the first comforter I’ve bought that fits well! I like that it’s a bedspread-which means it folds nicely over my pillows. Pillow shams are simply a nuisance, and not needed with this comforter. Like a previous customer posted, I washed my comforter in my washing machine, and tumble dried. Very little lint and no wrinkles. This purchase was like hitting the jackpot! Too bad other vendors don’t realize how many of us need larger bedspreads/comforters!!!

Gorgeous, but heavy for summer
This really is a gorgeous quilt and I LOVE the way it looks. For me its just a little too heavyweight for summers on the Gulf Coast, even with the a/c on. Definitely more of a fall/winter quilt.

Came in 2 different shipments
I ordered 2 and they came in 2 different shipments and the blue on the outside edge is a shade dark on one than the other one. Still looks fine.

Easy to Machine Wash and Dry
Beautiful design and very soft. I washed and dried before using the bed comforter. It fits inside my top loaded washer. My washer doesn’t have a center agitator. It required four turns in the dryer and came out fluffy and without wrinkles.

Loved this so much I bought it twice!.
I first purchased this quilt at a department store maybe ten years ago. It stood up well but I could see the fading and slight wear and tear after a while. So I searched high and low and found it again here. This time I purchased one size larger so that it would be longer on the sides. For reference the photo is of a Queen-sized quilt on a Full-sized bed. The top of the Mattress is about 32 inches off the ground. The part of the bedskirt that shows is roughly 6 to 7 inches. So, the quilt would probably be floor length if the mattress was the standard 26 inches high. I had the pillow shams and decor pillows from the first purchase so I can’t help you there on where to find them. Google search “Heirloom Charlotte” which is the name of the quilt and maybe that would help. The one negative thing I would say is that on this second purchase I noticed that the quilting stitches were done right over the embroidery. Like railroad tracks. But it really doesn’t affect the beauty of the quilt. Just a minor flaw.
