I had Acid 8 software for years, just to be able to cut and paste audio clips and do basic EQ/reverb on them. It did the job, but to a very basic standard.I bought this new Acid 11 because it boasted it's music capabilities. Drum loops, synth sounds, advanced editing all included... But they are quite hard to find.Once you locate them though, they are quite comprehensive.If you can use Acid 8, then this should make sense. If you haven't used this protocol before, it's not very intuitive unfortunately.This is basically similar to "Cool Edit" (if you remember that) which has been repackaged and updated with some nice features.The only annoying thing is the advertising, trying to get you to upgrade to 'Pro' every time you fire it up.Don't expect a Logic X level DAW, but for the money, it's usable.

First of all, it demands a lot of personal details before allowing you to use a program you have already bought. They're basically holding you to random, not allowing you to use the program you've paid for, unless you give them too much personal data.Then, every single time you open the program, it opens a spammy pop up. Since the program is not free, they have absolutely no right to do that.And then it turns out that it doesn't even work. It can't communicate with midi devices that work perfectly fine with other programs on the same computer.
