Excellent
I owned the T1-E dual drivers by TTPOD and was very impressed with them so I was excited to hear they were coming out with hybrid iems.First impressions: The packaging is beautiful. All neatly laid out in a fancy box with 8 pairs of ear tips along with comply foam tips, over ear hooks, and a velour material type bag to hold the iems (much nicer and more professional packaging than the T1s). The cord to these headphones is excellent, braided, oxygen-free, thick copper (think speaker wire). There seem to be issues with the build quality of the ear pieces. They are plastic and I could see them coming apart but so far I have not had any issues but I do think this is an area for improvement.Sound quality: First, while these are in the range of being driven by a portable device (30 ohms) they are three drivers and do best when an amp is giving them extra juice. I use these with my fiio E17K HOWEVER you do not need an expensive amp. The fiio e6 is inexpensive, small and portable and gives these a little extra push that expands their sound stage. In my opinion an amp with these makes a world of a difference. Second, these iems improve greatly with burn in. I burned them in for 60 hours and after around 30 hours you could really hear them open up and the change from when they are first taken out of the box is drastic. I used a combination of pink noise, high and low frequencies, and mixed genres of music. After burn in the muffled and muddy sound was gone as was the rolled off highs and what was left was a perfectly smooth and very balanced sound. Without an amp giving extra power these do sound a bit bass deficient and a bit harsh. With an amp the lower range is perfectly present but not bass heavy at all and they sound much smoother. The mids are clear and the highs sparkle. Really well balanced. These do sit a bit funny in your ears but the way to wear them is to take the L and R for the matching ear and hold the ear piece horizontal with the cord end at the front of the ear. Then choose the best fitting ear tip and wrap the cord over behind your ear. If the cord doesn't stay put the ear hooks are there for this.Overall yes there are better hybrids available but they are in the $300+ range so 5 stars because these are an amazing pair of hybrids and the price is unbeatable though I think the build quality could be improved.

awesome hybrid for the awesome price.
Excellent sound. Very easy to drive. Very accurate across all spectrums, but more importantly very transparent and smooth. Enough extensions to be accurate in almost all ranges, notes, extensions and details. There is no harshness or struggling anywhere. Job well done.Very comfortable and stay well in ears. The best cable design i have own to date. No tangling, light weight, and virtually no resistance. Conclusion, flat and smooth sound signature without harshness, the accuracy is outstanding.

Better off getting the T1
Poor construction caused one of mine to literally fall apart right after removing from box. I glued it back together and found them to be not nearly as wowing as their cheaper T1 counter part and also dispute using balanced armatures they were surprising less detailed than the T1. Ultimately I found the build quality and sound to be inferior to the T1

Could use a little more improving in quality.
I gave 3 stars because the shell broke within a week of use. Wish the quality of the earphone is as good as the quality of the packaging. sound is ok and the bass is fine. for the price I would go with the Shure SE215.

Supreme functionality + surprisingly natural sound signature
For your reference, here are some IEM that I have owned: Sony XBA H3, Audio Technica CKS1000, Etymotic ER6i, Sennheiser IE8, Radius TWF-22I purchased this TTPOD T2 simply because of its shape. I was looking for a pair of IEM that is comfortable for bedtime listening, and for this purpose the shape of IEM is very important. In particular, it has to be easy to wear and the external shape of IEM has to be rather flat in order that when I lean to the side it does not hurt my ears. Not so many IEM satisfy these requirements. One of them, which I have been using, is Radius TWF-22. Unfortunately it became dead. This requires that I looked for a new one. That’s how I get find TTPOD T2.For the sake of functionality, T2 is highly comfortable. At least for me, it’s very easy to wear. The foam tips that are included, though, are not of very good quality. I am currently using foam tips of my Sony XBA H3 when listening to T2. Another good point is that it is very light-weight and is highly portable. Due to its shape, I can simply remove it from my ears and slip it into my pocket whenever I am on the go. This stands in contrast with XBA H3, which is one of my most favorite IEMs in terms of sound quality, imaging, and detailed rendering. In addition to this, T2’s cable is almost completely tangle-free. Such functionality, therefore, makes this IEM truly most suitable for on-the-go purpose. Now when it comes to sound quality, it is a BIG surprise. Why? For an IEM at this price point, I did not expect to experience this kind of sound signature. It is very natural, balanced, and is, to my belief, almost of `reference’ sound signature. Low, mid, high are almost equally emphasized, with bass being slightly less highlighted. Mid vocal is rather forward but not too sweet. High is fully extended. What’s so outstanding is the image rendering of instruments and vocals. Particularly, when played with instrumental music, the strength of this headphone really shines. I can clearly feel the substance of the instruments. The shape of female voice is also very clear. High is also good. It’s fully extended and is not at all cold. The bass, despite being less highlighted, is there. The overall sound signature is this earphone is quite a nostalgia to me, as it reminds me of the sound signature of Etymotic ER6i, which was my first IEM.The only two weaknesses that I see in T2 are the narrowness of the soundstage and the lack of detail retrieval. It has a narrow and oddly v-shaped soundstage. Instrumental placement is indeed very strange to my ears. Perhaps this is because I usually listen to Sony XBA H3 and Audio Technica CKS 1000, which have a rather wide soundstage and a holographic representation of the music image. The soundstage is rather narrow. It’s almost studio-like. Again, this reminds me of Etymotic ER6i. I posit, though, that the producer of T2 chooses to design the soundstage this way in order to make it useful for studio referencing. Decay retrieval is another problem. Interestingly, if listen carefully, I always find that details do exist in T2 sound representation. However, since the mid is rather forward, I think details become something that are left in the background. This is exacerbated by the fact that the soundstage is so narrowly v-shaped, which causes the placement and locations of details to be unclear. On the other hand, though, this is quite a blessing in the sense that T2 is a rather forgiving IEM. Even with 256kbps MP3 files, the music still sounds pleasurable. Again, this stands in contrast with my XBA H3.Overall, I am very happy with this T2. At this price point, I think it is very hard to find a pair of IEM with such a unique functionality and sound signature. Of course, sound quality-wise it is not perfect. I think many users might even feel disappointed listening to this if their benchmark is their experience with other 3-way hybrid IEMs. Despite having a similar technology, these IEMs are 3 to 4 times of the price of T2. I believe, therefore, that such a comparison is unfair. In addition, if you are looking for a boomy, bassy kind of sound signature, which is usually what is seen in most of the IEMs at this price point, you will be disappointed as well. This again puts T2 in quite a self-contradictory position. While it is priced in a way that mainstream users can purchase, its sound signature is not for mainstream users. But this is what makes this IEM so unique.
