The amount of things that my high school and junior high kids need to carry in their backpacks is astonishing to me. Given the distance between their classes and lockers, they cannot make it back to the lockers between classes. Their backpacks weigh half the weight again as the kids themselves.We used to struggle with the zippers holding up, so we went with a higher quality and higher price backpack. Now the buckles are the weak point, go figure. On the same day, both my daughters came home with broken buckels. These saved me from having to buy new backpacks. They are actually stronger than the originals, but I personally would like them to be even a little bit beefier. Price is ok for what you get, but it depends on the price of the pack you are fixing.

I had a backpack for more than 5 years. This is a very good backpack, unfortunately the buckle broke. Searched for backpack repair kit and amazon came to my rescue as usual. It is little expensive but very easy to install. You dont need any tools, I would recommend having a pliers to remove the old buckles and screw driver to insert a the new buckle in narrow loops.

The buckles are 1,2,3 easy peasy. Sturdier then the buckle of the collar that one dog took as a personal challenge. He tugged the collar off because the buckle failed and his revenge was to chew it.He’s tried this one, it has not failed his tug test.

I got this to replace a cracked buckle that was attached to a sewn loop webbing. The bar screws across the webbing, so it can replace any buckle of it's type.

It was either this, or rip a bunch of seams and sew back together. Good price and saves a ton of time. I would buy again in a heartbeat!

I had a buckle get broken on a bag that I had to put in check baggage on an airline flight. I did not find the broken buckle until I was packing the bag for another trip. This buckle was a perfect replacement for the broken buck which could not be reasonably replaced by resewing a new buckle in. I believe it will be much more durable than the original and the nice thing is I know where to get another one if needs be.

Perfect to salvage a broken shoulder strap bucke on my backpack. Sturdy design and feel, should outlast the oruginals.

Buckle does not snap closed. beware, it seems to close but can be pulled apart easily. Plastic cheaply designed..
