Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-it Starter Set, Black

I purchased these to condense my clothing/ underwear, etc for cruises mostly. The garment bag is kind of large and I have not used it yet. I wish it had not come with this purchase. However, I may use it in the future, but probably not since I haven't yet (after 5 cruises). I like the smaller cubes so if I do have to open my suitcase for any reason, my underwear will be contained and not fall out everywhere, etc. It is also nice to leave in drawers at the hotel or cruise ship, to keep clothing cleaner and organized. It also helps to pack for things for your trip as you can squish your items very tightly. The zippers are durable and the bag is an awesome idea. Great purchase.

I used to think this was a waste of money. Just fold your crap properly and it will all fit. Right?? WRONG! I am now a total convert. I just packed my husband for his business trip to Chicago. In one carry on bag (20"). Here's what I packed: 4 men's dress shirts, 1 pair jeans, 1 jogging pants, 4 t-shirts, 5 underwear, 2 business suits (heavy weight), 2 pair men's dress shoes, belt, toiletry bag, and 8 pair socks. I hung the suits in the garment bag side of the carry on, and folded the shirts in the medium sized shirt case using the folding template (included). The socks and underwear all fit in the small bag by rolling everything. Jeans, t-shirts and joggers fit in the medium with rolling although I folded the jeans and put them on the bottom. It's a relief to travel without having to worry if they will lose your bag and there was no way he could make it fit without these cubes. He started to pull out the bigger suitcase and worried about checking the bag. I told him I would pack for him. He was shocked at how neat and orderly it all was, not to mention how well it all fit. He even has a little room if he decides to bring something home for his wife. Just sayin'.

I'll admit I was skeptical about packing cubes, but now that we travel frequently, I've come around. With your clothes in the packing cubes, when you need to dig around for something in your suitcase, you don't end up making a big mess of all of your clean clothes. Just remove the cubes, get your hair dryer out, and put the cubes back. Easy. Also, it's nice to be able to separate your dirty and your clean clothes by the end of a trip. Just consolidate your clean clothes into the remaining cubes and put the dirty ones loose in the suitcase. When you get home, dump the dirty clothes in the laundry and unpack the cubes back into your drawers. These packing cubes in particular are well-made. I bought this set to supplement a couple of older sets I already had. I like the big, flat one for formal wear. The other cubes haven't shown any signs of wear/tear, and the zippers are all perfectly intact. No complaints about the build quality at all. If you're in the market, these will do well.

This set and the Half-Tube Cubes Eagle Creek Park offers are extremely useful containers for just about everything you'll need to pack for most trips. I seperate all of my clothing needs by type in seperate zipped containers that fit easily into my suitcases and back packs. Keeping key items packed in advance allows me to pack my suitcase in just 15-30 minutes and head out the door. Retirement has slowed the importance, but even now it's so simple to use individual containers for each category of the things I pack. They next easily in most suitcases and they are great in either end of your travel. Packing at home is a breeze, and re-packing as you depart from your destination is equally simple. I highly recommend this system and systems like it.

Pros: helps organize and consolidate packing. These don’t really reduce the volume significantly - not like a bag where you take the air out - but they do help structure your packing and put it in a shape that fits your luggage better. I was able to fit everything into a carry on backpack on the way to my destination. On the return I didn’t use them because I had received a travel bag and then needed both bags for everything. What I wish it had - instructions on how many of which type of clothes fits best and in what configuration in the bags. A handy one pager like the folding instructions so I don’t have to look it up online would be nice.

These have revolutionized the way I pack. I was able to pack everything I needed for 2 weeks in Europe in a very small carry-on suitcase with room to spare. In fact it gave me so much room I was actually able to pack more clothes than I even needed! My clothes weren't wrinkled, everything was kept clean and organized. Eagle Creek is simply the best when it comes to travel products. I never check bags anymore when I travel and I don't have to worry about whether I'll be able to pack enough because these somehow, magically, make everything shrink and give you more room in your suitcase.

I love all of the Eagle Creek cubes. This set is the best value to cover most of what anyone would pack. The garment folder is fantastic and reduces so much space in your carry on (perfect size for a carry on too). The middle bag is great for rolling Tshirts, shorts, tanks, underwear. I used the smallest one for toiletries. I love I can pack them and just pull them out of the suitcase and stick them in a drawer wherever I travel to. I was able to fit these all into my carry on easily along with a couple of other Eagle Creek pack it bags I have as well.

What a handy packing system. I'm sure a lot of people knew about these or something similar, but we never had the need to for this until my son went to study abroad in the Netherlands. These bags keep everything in order. We especially liked the large one for dress shirts. We got 10 casual shirts folded(with the board that's included) very nicely and you just velcro is shut and wow it's all done. Love it.He's also going to use the others for his backpack to keep things organized on weekend trips.

Highly recommend for organizing your suitcase when traveling. Carry-on to Italy was possible because of these cubes
