** UPDATE **This thing is junk. First one was broken, and the replacement died after a month. Don't waste your money on this. Looks great but pointless if it doesn't work. Now I can't even get it replaced.** ORIGINAL **I have been looking for something that would fit my 2018 Malibu and this guy is great and even matches the chrome trim around the air vents. the mechanism is smooth and works well. It fits my iPhone 7 plus with a slim case, bigger cases like an otterbox may fit but it would just grab the sides not hold it back. Overall this is great and I love the automatic arms.

I like to way this product looks, its totally different from other on the market. Easy to install and easy to use, just unpack, attach to your ac vent, plug your charging cable to the device and ready to use. Its open every single time you present your phone in front the device and close without even drop your phone. For pick up your phone just pass your hand over the top back of the device and it will open. I order this 8 days ago and no issue so far, loved so much that i bough a second one for my wife car.

Worked perfectly the day I received it. After a few days of use the finger sensor would not activate to allow me to take cellphone out of charger. The wireless charging feature turns on and off frequently so I ended up just using a regular charging cable. The arms now start to click loudly when the close around cellphone and the left side arm stays stuck open. I have to push cell phone upwards to remove it. Installing is easy but the attachment that holds it on the air vent is not long enough to hit the inner edge of the air vent slot so it sometimes falls off. I am basically using it just as a holder. Could have bought a holder for $5 elsewhere. Not worth the price.

I love the idea of car mount and wireless recharge.The product was easy to install to any car (I've tried Nissan Rogue, Quest, and Subaru Outback)So I bought this product since I got my new iphone XR.since it was a new phone, I wanted all the surrounding gadgets, including the phone case.So when I tried to put this on the holder, the auto nail to hold the phone itself opened upjust like the one in advertise.But this nail part is not thick enough to clip the whole phone when any phone case are applied.I used the very thin phone case in the market but the nail still couldn't hold the phone.If you have an phone case with an credit card holder on the back of the case, you shouldn't be buying this product.Also, the wireless charging distance is 1cm so if your phone case is thicker than that, it won't get charged either.I just decided to take off my phone case when mounting the phone.

Bought this because needed a new charger for car. Really cool gadget. Charges the phone. But it is constantly opening and closing on its own when driving down the road. Its very annoying and one of these times my phone is probably going to fall out of it when it does this. Get phone out of holder before turning off car. You have to put your hand behind holder to activate to open. Otherwise you have to try and slide phone out when it is closed.

Looks good. Like where I can attach within my car and angle towards driver or passenger which is why I kept it. Charge will not stay connected to my phone. It connects and 1 second later disconnects so doesn’t charge the phone which is main reason I purchased. The depth is such that the phone isn’t really secure if in a case, even a thin case. I take my phone out of the case most of the time to hold securely in the cradle. Not a deal killer but inconvenient. It also has issues opening about 1/3 of the time to accept the phone.

It definitely does not work well with vertical car vents. I have an Infiniti g37 coupe and the auto clamping does not work consistently. Sometimes I'd forget to take the phone out and turn off the car, only to find out that the auto clamping wouldnt release the phone if there is no power going to it. Also if the car is hot, I live in Florida, the auto release and auto clamp will not work. Not worth it. I will be returning.

I bought what appeared to be the same item from two different sellers on amazon. This product malfunctions and is imitation to the black box on the left. The one on the left uses usbc and lights up on the sides. Green when charging and blue when phone is not in the holster. So to clarify you want the one in the black box not this one that is in the whit box.
