SmithwickSmithwick Suspending Rogue

I caught a nice sized fish within minutes. I was surprised that it was a catfish, since I expected a bass, but it was a nice fish none the less. This is a dock that I’ve fished multiple times with no luck, until now. Might have been a fluke, but I’ll take it.

Only negative about these lures is the hooks we have a non native pan fish in our local waters mayan cichlids they destroy those brass colored hooks wish it was black & a stronger material I wouldn’t mind paying extra other then that they catch plenty of fish

Doesn’t appear to suspend even using 4 pound test line tied directly to the lure (no clip or snap). Still appears to be a good lure perhaps it suspends perfectly at 20 feet, but who’d know.

I like the lure but not so much the color. Have yet to catch anything on this color and usually always catch at least one every time out when using these lures. Probably why it is the cheapest one they offer.Shipped fast and was brand new so it was worth 4 stars to me and I’ll keep trying it I’m sure one day it will catch some

Started using this lure back in the early summer for largemouth bass. Used only the topwater version til the early fall. Have used both the topwater and suspending versions a lot since then. I have caught many bass on this lure this year. The Clown color scheme is an absolute bass killer where I fish. I would have given it 5 stars except that the paint job is not durable and I have had a couple of lips to break.

All smithwick Jerkbaits work great, and they are not over priced like others. You will still have to add lead dots as with any jerkbait, they seldom come where they are perfectly suspending to start with.

久々に新品買いました。高くなりましたね。以前はメキシコ製だった気がするが今回のは中国製でした。別に今時この手の物で生産国気にしないが、塗装とか仕上げは良くなっている気がする。目も左右同じ位置に付いているし。細かい作業は東洋人のが向いているのかな。製品管理をしっかりしている前提ですがねw
