Can this massage chair be used after a vitrectomy?

The reason I got it instead of a regular vitrectomy chair was because it would have cost me less then renting and it was made basically the same. But when it got here I discovered that because the headpiece was so deep and small that I wouldn't have been able to wear glasses or eat and drink while using it, so I returned it before my surgery and chose to just keep my head down without it, which was miserable.

Is the headrest removable?

Yes it is. And it's fully adjustable.
