I've generally been disappointed by the airflow from the blow dryers I've owned over the past 50 years. They are generally rated at 1875 watts but that seems to have little to do with how strong an airflow they create. I had an earlier version of this dryer for 10 years and loved it but 2 months ago it started shorting out. I couldn't find this replacement so I bought another well rated (not Conair) dryer and it was terrible. I put up with it for a month and then left it in a drawer. On Prime Day I found this one and it looked the same as my old one. So I took a chance and was thrilled that it blows up a storm. Granted, it is loud, but not ear piercing and to get the great airflow it's worth it. All the settings work fine but I don't generally use it on "medium" or with heat. I just wanted a powerful dryer and this is it!

Game changer, honest to god. As a curly girl, I’ve never really needed a hair dryer, but my bonus kiddos have straight hair so it’s gotta get blow dried on bath night. The little kiddy one was SO weak, it took forever to dry her hair all the way. Once this guy arrived?? 10 minutes, tops. No more arm cramps, no more giving up at 90%. Heck, I’ll even get some use out of it this winter. First time being in a climate that HAS winter so my usual air dry method just ain’t cutting it hahaha. Anyways, highly recommend!

This dryer has multiple heat settings and speeds and the cold button blows actual cold air. It's a little heavier than I expected and I have very long thick hair that takes a long time to blow dry, so it's definitely an arm workout! But it's very powerful and I typically use the diffuser since I have wavy, curly hair so that it doesn't frizz and tangle.

Item delivered timely, but I was surprised how it came in the bare original box, but with no tape to secure it. Did I receive an item that was returned? I am surprised all items were in the box since it was basically open. I bought this dryer to dry off my puppy after shower. Wish it had a lock for cold air. You have to keep pressing the button for cool air.Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good overall reviews and affordable price.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this dryer! I have tried so many others and they just didn't seem to have any power and didn't put out much air, so they took forever to dry my hair and were promptly returned. I have very fine, thin hair, so it shouldn't take long to dry it. I have had a John Frieda dryer I've loved for over ten years and unfortunately it isn't made any more. It started making some oddball noises, so I figured I'd better have a backup on hand in case it bit the dust unexpectedly. I really wanted to replace it with the exact same dryer but since that wasn't possible, I started looking for a close dupe.Conair made one that looked almost identical to the JF dryer, but of course that one isn't available anymore, either. This one looked to be pretty similar in specs and design so I decided to give it a try. It works great! Plenty of power, dries my hair quickly and the temperature and speed controls are really nice. The toggles for the controls feel well made and of good quality, some have such a cheap and flimsy feeling to them, but not this one. If you're looking for a powerful blow dryer that doesn't break the bank, look no further!

So far, it works great. A little heavier compared to my last blow dryer, but I got used to it after one use. I love the cold, warm, and hot air options, as well as the two attachments that come with it.
