A MIRACLE in a bottle. If you have periodontal issues, you owe it to yourself to get this!
I have been fighting periodontal issues for at least 20 years and have gone from a Periodontist wanting $4800.00 for gum surgery (NO WAY) to every 3 months getting my teeth cleaned, to my last visit on June 9, 2011 being told I needed another deep cleaning AND the dentist wanted me to buy a $900 irrigation/brushing/stimulator system. That day, June 9, I immediately came here to Amazon to find a cheaper solution. That's when I found Periogen. I already owned a Braun oral irrigation system, so I have been using the Periogen in that (until yesterday...I got the Waterpik Ultra with the pocket attachment) and the improvement in my teeth and gums is nothing short of AMAZING!. I got the Periogen on June 11 and it's now July 7, so almost a month of use and the improvement makes me SO HAPPY! I had 3 small pockets that have almost completely closed up and the larger pockets around my molers have improved a LOT, but are still there. I did start the Periogen just 2 days after my dental cleaning, so I started with clean teeth and NO TARTAR has developed on my teeth (tartar can start to develop in 18-20 hours). I use Periogen every morning after my coffee and every night just before going to bed. You may want to start with clean teeth, though it WILL dissolve existing tartar...it will just take some time. I then decided that if I had that Waterpik pocket attachment that can reach far into a pocket, I can hit that tartar and probably improve the moler pockets to a point where they're 100% better. I already know the smaller pockets will closed up 100%. They are already 90% there after just 3+ weeks and not using the pocket attachment! So, yesterday I got my Waterpik Ultra (from Amazon) and used it last night and this morning. This is going to be THE solution. That pocket tip goes right to the source of the problem and the Periogen will eradicate any tartar in the gum pockets. This stuff really IS a miracle. If you have suffered through Periodontal disease and have tried everything else, buy Periogen! You can go to Periogen.com and read their site, check out their blog and the CEO/Admin will answer any questions you may have about Periogen. I'm telling you right now, your dentist and periodontist are going to HATE this stuff. They are going to lose so much money in not getting to cut up gums for THOUSANDS of $$$$ and no more 4 X a year cleanings. Seriously. This stuff WORKS. Do yourself a favor and get Periogen AND the Waterpik Ultra....just for the pocket tip alone, the Waterpik is worth every cent. That pocket tip attachment can reach far into any pocket and the tartar will be dissolved by the Periogen making it possible for the pocket to heal and close up. Here's what I do every morning and every night: Pre-rinse with Closys pre-rinse, scrape my tongue, brush my teeth with Closys toothpaste (Closys products are sold here on Amazon, of course) with my Sonicare toothbrush, rinse with water, put 2 scoops of Periogen (there's a small scoop in the bottle) in my Waterpik tank, fill the tank to the top, use the pocket attachment to hit the pocket tartar with the Periogen, switch the attachment to the jet attachment and do the rest of my teeth (front and back) and the gum line. One full tank can do my whole mouth...YMMV. From what I read on the Periogen web site, once your teeth are clean and your gums are healthy, you CAN just swish with Periogen to keep your teeth clean instead of using the Waterpik. Though I plan to never stop using it in the Waterpik because it's the perfect way to clean my teeth, keep them clean and keep my gums healthy. My next cleaning appointment is in September and I KNOW the hygienist and dentist are going to be shocked by my improvement. I can't wait to see their reactions. :) I will report back in Sept. after I see them. By then my entire mouth should be in GREAT condition. If you are fighting periodontal disease, you owe it to yourself to buy Periogen. I promise you, you will be SO happy you did. You will save a TON of $$$$$$ too. In addition, the instructions tell you to use 1 scoop to 1 cup (8oz.) of water. There was no way 1 cup would have been enough for me, so you may be able to use just 1 scoop to 1 cup of water (1st line on Waterpik tank) if you have just 1 or 2 pockets to address. With using 2 scoops in a full tank I can do my pockets and entire mouth, but went through a bottle of Periogen in 3 weeks. Just some food for thought. :) UPDATE after my dental cleaning today...Sept. 14, 2011! I just got home from having my teeth cleaned and the first thing the hygienist said was, "WOW! No stains on your teeth!" As she cleaned she said, "Your teeth are in excellent condition! I have to give you my most improved award!" After she finished polishing them I asked her if my gums were any better and she said, "Your gums are 100% better! Only one small spot around your back crown bled and other than that, no bleeding at all. Your gums are healthy." Absolutely NO MENTION of needing a deep cleaning! Yay! I was in and out of the chair in 15 minutes. She had NOTHING to clean...except a bit of coffee stain in one spot :)(love my coffee!) As I was paying the bill she ASKED ME (!) if I wanted to continue the every 3-4 month cleanings and I asked her what SHE thought and she recommended ONE MORE 4 month appointment just to make sure I remain diligent in my cleaning :). After the cleaning in January, it's back to two times a year! So, there you have it folks! Periogen WORKS and works WELL! Try it. Be diligent. Use it in your waterpik/irrigator twice a day, once in the morning after breakfast or coffee then at night before bed. Concentrate on the pockets and gumline, front and back. You WILL see a HUGE improvement in your teeth and gums. I promise you you will! Periogen may seem expensive, but in the long run, Periogen will save you THOUSANDS of dollars! I will never be told I need to see a Periodontist again. I know that. I also know my dentist isn't ever going to recommend a deep cleaning or that I buy his $900 cleaning system! Final UPDATE January 18, 2012 dental appointment today: I had my dental appointment today and the first thing the hygienist said when she saw my teeth, "WOW! We have a completely new mouth here!" That pretty much says it all right there, does it not? I saw the dentist today too and as he was examining me he commented about how great my teeth looked and the hygienist piped up and told him, "This is definitely our most improved patient!" This is after I dropped down to using Periogen once a day, at night just before bed. Once the plaque is removed, the Periogen keeps it off by using it once a day. It was getting expensive to use this twice a day using three scoops in my waterpik tank (full tank), so I started at once a day after my last appointment and apparently, that worked perfectly. There it is. Proof positive Periogen WORKS and works well! I'll never stop using this stuff. It REALLY IS a MIRACLE in a bottle! If you have periodontal issues, do yourself and your pocketbook a favor and try Periogen. You will save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars in dental and periodontal work. Just make sure you're consistent with it. USE IT.

This is the truth, it works. BUT you have to be persistent, and you have to be brushing and flossing correctly daily.
Hello, this is going to be a full review regarding my experience with Periogen and I will update after my next dentist appointment in October 2015. Let me start my saying that I got this product because I had black tartar or calculus or what not all around my teeth and under the gum line. Especially the lower half, but that's not unusual because that is where food is chewed and stored and where your saliva gather all day. ( I am not a dentist, I do not know the differences between tartar and calculus, so I apologize for that) The first time I used Periogen, I knew it worked, because I had a mouth full of tartar, and knew exactly what tartar taste like from my dentist appointment so many years ago. After using Periogen for the first time, the taste of tartar was suddenly remembered as Periogen started to work it's magic. Now when using the product however, there is no tartar taste, and Periogen is in fact tasteless, my mouth feels so much better after using the product and I have noticed no damaged cause by using Periogen after 30 days. I got this product and started using it because I haven't been to the dentist in over 5 years. The last time I went is when I was 15. I am 21 now. It does work, you need to be patient and you need to be persistent. I will not say that the black tartar came straight off with this product because I've realize this product is no replacement for a dentist if you are already developing black fossilized calculus beneath the gum line or even above the gum line. I believe over a tremendous amount of time (Months and Months), they will finally finally get rid of tartar above the gum line or anywhere it reaches, but it will not happen overnight. The Periogen Mixture can only touch the surface of calculus, so it slowly wears it away. I recently went to the dentist and got all of my tartar and calculus removed, especially the one under the gum line. I knew coming into the dentist that they would recommend a deep cleaning, and that is what I had done. I would recommend you do the same if you're worried about your teeth and haven't been in a long time. As it is simply too late to be looking at "home remedy" After my dentist deep cleaning, I've continued to used the product. It does prevent tartar build up to a degree, but you have to understand that this is no replacement for lazy brushing or flossing. You need to brush correctly and floss correctly as well. If you're brushing the top and bottom row of your teeth together at any point, you are doing it wrong. You must brush them separately at a 45 degree angle inside and outside, then directly flat on top of your molar teeth. furthermore you should not be scrubbing back and forth like how TV and Movies have reinforced this method. THIS IS WRONG and it is a waste of effort as you're only damaging your gum line. As far as flossing goes, if you're sawing your teeth when the floss is in between two teeth, you're doing it wrong. I recommend you to YouTube videos regarding brushing and flossing to see how it should be done correctly and efficiently even if you think you're doing it right just to be sure. Now back to the product it self, I do admit I have been lazy a couple of nights, and did not brush or floss or used Periogen. I've noticed the tartar build up immediately, but most of the tartar was soft enough to be removed after a few pick at them with a tooth pick. However some still remained. After 5 more days after noticing tartar that I couldn't removed by toothpick, these tartar started to shrink in size very very VERY slowly but noticeably nonetheless. Periogen is a tool, a tool is only as good as the user willing to utilize it. The same goes for toothbrush and flosses. You need to use them correctly for the effect to work. I personally did buy a WaterPik for this product, but went against using it after awhile because it is very loud and disturb my household. In my experience, rinsing with this product will yield results to visible tartar above the gum line, but brushing with this product is better, and for best results beneath the gum line and in-between teeth WaterPik Now I know this is going to sound extremely tedious but this is my current routine until all visible tartar is gone I will skip the brushing with Periogen. At night before bed, I will 1. Brush with toothpaste 2. Floss after dipping the floss in my cup of water with Periogen mix 3. Swish my mouth with Periogen once. and with the Periogen mixture still in my mouth I carefully brush my teeth with Periogen 4. Swish the remaining mixture overtime until it is gone. (Usually 9 swish , 10 if counting the brushing portion swish from step 3, 30 seconds each, which turns to be 5 minutes) However in the morning , you don't have all of that food junk between your teeth, so my routine is different. I usually skip the second brushing with Periogen, and just swish the product 10 times as well as skipping the flossing UNLESS I decide to brush after breakfast. In summary, the product works, yes. But you yourself must apply the product correctly and take the time out of your day to be committed. I recommend you read the direction for the product carefully, as many fails to do so. Missing a routine at night before bed is the worse time to be missing one. Missing it in the morning isn't as bad, but still. Any routine for a good mouth will take time, especially at first if you have just started to learn how to brush correctly, your hand eye coordination will be slow as you need to position the toothbrush in many ways and learn the motion. Give it time, after awhile your routine will be faster. My whole routine takes 15 minutes usually. That's 30 minutes out of a day if I perform them both, but it is worth it in my opinion. If you have tartar build up and you don't have a routine that includes brushing/flossing/swishing. There is no magical remedy, the closest thing is your devotion. If you're using this product and still brushing/flossing incorrectly, you're just letting tartar build up as fast as you can get rid of them. UPDATE #1. After brushing today, I've noticed nearly all of my tartar from my days of laziness are gone!! Way faster than before when I first started using Periogen to try to remove 5 years old tartar. It's not really that fair of a comparison. Just letting you guys know that if you do get lazy a day or two and tartar starts to form a bit, do not distress! It will go away as quickly as you gained them. Cheers!! Very happy with my mouth at the moment. I was afraid that no matter how much actions I take, I would have to visit the dentist 4 times a year. But with this type of progress, I think I can lessen that a bit.

Updated 7/17/2012---It didn't work for me.
I had a not so good visit when I had my teeth cleaned six months ago. The dental tech wanted me to see her every four months because plaque was building quickly. My dentist recommended I use a Waterpik in addition to my regimen of brushing with an electric Braun and flossing. I found Periogen while searching for Waterpick. After six months of religious use of both products, I went in last week for cleaning and the dental tech was not impressed with my progress as relates to the plaque build up. I used one of the two bottles of Periogen that were purchased during those six months and was quite disappointed there was no improvement in plaque/tartar production. I really wanted this to work. I have been very pleased with the Waterpik but must give Periogen a 1 star (because there is no zero) based upon my dental tech's analysis, and this was before she knew I had used Periogen. Update 11/9/2011: The company contacted me concerned that the product did not perform as they expect. The amount of Periogen I used may not have been enough to battle my potentially higher than normal production of tartar. I will increase the amount of Periogen used and report findings in another six months. I will also see a different office for my next cleaning to assure that the hygienist is not the real problem. Update 7/17/2012: I'm going to give this product a qualified 4 stars and call it a success. During the six months following my last update, I used Periogen much more generously than the instructions called for. I monitored buildup with a dental mirror and did not see any during the period I used Periogen. I ran out near the time I was scheduled for my next dental cleaning. Unfortunately, a retirement caused us to change to COBRA and USAA (my wife's previous employer) really messed that up---it took six+ weeks to resolve which put us to the final days before a planned extended trip so I was not able to schedule a cleaning and was without Periogen for more than two months. Additionally, I started using Closys toothpaste, which I highly recommend even though it is higher priced than most, and a Waterpik, which I also highly recommend because it cleans out debris remaining after a good brushing and flossing. I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and the dental hygienist thought everything looked excellent especially considering the length of time since my last cleaning. Was it the Periogen, the Closys or the Waterpik or a combination of all three? I'm not sure but I am going to continue to use all three.

it seems working for subgingival cleaning but with a catch.
I think it is working but I am not sure about the instructions in the user manual. I used to add 2 scoops of periogen in the reservoir of my Waterpik ultra. However, insteading of using the pik pocket I have used the standard tip and targeting periodontal pockets at the bases of the teeth. The pik pocket water pressure is capped at 20 psi whatever the level you set. At the beginning, I have used the pik pocket but then, I saw improvements but I've hit a plateau. In my mouth, using the standard tip at 80 psi (8), I felt these tender spots in my mouth and i felt I could reach the bottom of periodontal pockets. Then, 2 hours after waterpik, i felt a tingly feeling between my gums and my teeth. I feel like you need enough water pressure to reach all spots around the teeth.

Great oral irrigation rinse
Bought this pack as a refill. I switched from the pro rinse to this regular rinse as the only difference is fluoride which is already in my toothpaste. In terms of value this regular rinse is cheaper!

Periogen Works, But Too Expensive
I have been having issues with periodontal disease so I have been seeing my dental hygienist on a quarterly basis for cleanings. After receiving yet another bad review, I bought the three pack of this product along with a Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser about a year ago. I used both products together religiously for about 18 weeks (4 months) until the product ran out. My oral hygienist saw an immediate improvement in my tartar levels and gum health and she asked me what I had done. I explained how I was using the both the WaterPik and the Periogen. The woman called over several other people in the office and showed them my results. I noticed they started offering the Waterpik for purchase in the office upon subsequent visits although no Periogen. Unfortunately, at $10 per ounce, I tried to look for an alternative. My hygienist recommend just using simple and inexpensive baking soda which I had noted was the largest component in the Periogen. I picked up a large box of it at the grocery store for about 53 cents. Initially I was using two teaspoons per 12 ounces of water and that was leaving heavy white residual in the Waterpik vessel, so after cleaning the system with vinegar, I reduce my mixture to one teaspoon per 12 ounces of water. This seems to be OK although I do have some small amount of buildup still in the tip. I just mention this for the fact that never had any residual build-up with the Periogen. In fact, there seems to be an ingredient in the Periogen that causes it to fizz when exposed to water which helps it automatically self-mix. From my reading, this appears to be the result of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) reacting with each other. When using just baking soda, I would mix the solution by immersing the tip under the fluid level and running the pump in a closed loop. Anyway, back to my story... so my subsequent visits to the dentist (there have been three of them since my good result with Periogen) have resulted in a reversal of my improvements despite religiously using my cheaper mix and Waterpik on a daily and often times twice daily routine. In fact, I have added using Plax which also contains Sodium Tripolyphosphate, to my daily cleaning regime and this has not helped either. So I do believe the product is effective especially when combined with the WaterPik. I suspect that the Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate may be the key ingredient. If the product was more affordable priced I would definitely use this product the rest of my life. As I will demonstrate in this review, this product should be priced at a much cheaper level. Even at $5 to $6 per bottle the manufacturer would still enjoy ridiculous profits. I refuse to support the Periogen company despite the great benefits of the product based on my analysis of the true cost of the product. According to the side of the bottle, the ingredients are: Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Tripolyphosphate, Tertrapotassium Pyrophosphate, Citric Acid. Additional Active Ingredient: Sodium Fluoride 0.04%. Looking up industrial chemical prices for these ingredients here: [...] Amazon took out the website link) and in cases where multiple entries exist, I take the highest priced to give Periogen the benefit of the doubt. Sodium Bicarbonate: $34.8 per 100 lbs so $0.348 per lb Sodium Tripolyphosphate: $47.75 per 100 lbs so $0.4775 per lb Tertrapotassium Pyrophosphate: Not Listed (did find food grade versions from China here:[...] for $1000 - $2000 per metric ton. I will use the high figure of $2000 per metric ton, a metric ton is 2204.62 lbs, so $0.91 per lb ). Citric Acid: $0.75 per lb Additional Active Ingredient: Sodium Fluoride 0.04%. $0.63 per lb If we convert these into price per ounce: Sodium Bicarbonate : $0.0218/ounce Sodium Tripolyphosphate: $0.0298/ounce Tertrapotassium Pyrophosphate: $0.0567/ounce Citric Acid: $0.0469/ ounce Sodium Fluoride 0.04%: $0.0394/ounce Although we don't know the actual composition within the bottle, expect for the sodium fluoride concentration (0.04%), we do know that the ingredients are listed in order of greatest percentage within the bottle. Sodium Bicarbonate : 24.99% to 99.9% Sodium Tripolyphosphate: 0.05% to 24.99% Tertrapotassium Pyrophosphate: 0.05% to 24.99% Citric Acid: 0.05% to 24.99% Sodium Fluoride: 0.04% (Edit: it appears my conventional wisdom may be incorrect on this point. According to the patent, the compositional bounds are listed as: "A composition for dissolving subgingival calculus in a subgingival pocket after formation thereof comprising: a) from 20% to 40% by weight of tetrapotassium pyrophosphate; b) from 20% to 40% by weight of sodium tripolyphosphate; c) from 5% to 20% by weight of sodium bicarbonate; d) from 4% to 20% by weight of citric acid; and e) from 0.01 to 1% by weight of sodium fluoride; wherein the composition is effective to dissolve subgingival calculus." If this is accurate, the ordering on the bottle is out of order. It is not even worth running calculations at this point. Even if the bottle was 100% the most expensive ingredient it would cost about 6 pennies per ounce. The 3 bottles that I purchased for $75.00 contained 9 total ounces of Periogen and cost the company about $0.54. I can't believe that the blending, bottling, marketing, and administration etc. would amount to more than a $1 per bottle. Let's just say, that they are getting some special grade of chemical that costs 10x more than normal. So each bottle costs them $5.40 with a $1 to get it blended and bottled and to cover their other expenses, $6.40 per bottle in total cost at $30 is $23.60 profit. So they make 3.7x their costs on each bottle sold. In other words, gross margin is 370% and that is based on even tipping the scales in their favor by already increasing the cost of their materials by 10x. If we really want to get technical, they sell a product that might cost $1.54 per bottle for $30.00. They are making $28.46 per bottle or 1848% net margin. That level of greed offends me. Well, I guess you can price your patented product for whatever the market will bear. Although with supply and demand, they likely are not operating on the most optimal part of the profit maximization curve. In fact, given these prices, I image you are far off the mark. Consider for a moment what would happen if your delivery system partner (Waterpik) engaged in the same profit structure. They currently sell the WaterPik Ultra Water Flosser for $46.97. They probably make a decent profit of $10 per unit (21% margin). However, if they did a similar type of markup to their product (and I do believe that the benefits of your product derive at least 50% from the method of delivery (i.e. access the deep recess beneath the gumline), they would need to sell these WaterPik Ultra Water Flossers for $868.00. How many WaterPik Ultra Water Flossers do you think would be sold annually at this price? I think you have a great product, but for my next $75, I'll just buy my own chemicals and make my own formulation that is similar to yours but not infringing (just outside your patented bounds) which you have conveniently listed in your patents which I downloaded off of Google this afternoon. In fact, I have been so frustrated by what you are doing, I have actually went out and priced what it would cost for me to make my own. I am already looking into buying inexpensive scales, blending equipment, and sourcing chemicals (although not at great prices, or at least not like those that a major supplier could get), I am still coming up with a price of about $85 for 14 lbs of the material (1.5 yr supply). That comes out to 37 cents per ounce or 1/27 the asking price of $10 per ounce. So the manufacturer is asking for 1 unit to cover his costs and 26 units of profit. Does that strike anyone else as being a bit excessive. I'm looking at method of packing the material to preserve it (Foodsaver) and even found the silica gel dessicant supplier pricing (Uline) for your half gram packets (those cost you less than 2.2 cents per bottle). I am a R&D chemical engineer with MBA with loads of free time. Maybe you'll drive me into doing my own R&D into this pressing problem. I could build my own company and create an affordable substitute. Then I can drop out of the corporate grind and get rich. I'll undercut your prices (mine will sell for $4, net profit of over $3.00 per equivalent bottle) yet still enjoy 300% profit margin rather than 1848% levels you require. I recall a business case which will be very similar to our relationship: Kodak vs. FujiFilm. You see FujiFilm was willing to accept much much smaller gross margins than Kodak and more or less linearly ate away at Kodak's margin year-after-year. As it built its market share, FujiFilm gained all of the economies of scale that its former competitor once enjoyed. Meanwhile Kodak was saddled with excessive capacity and costs. Kodak was one of the first companies to invent digital photography but loss of its core business and resulting chaos allowed other Japanese companies to grab that market space as well. I want to be like the Indian billionaire monk (Manoj Bhargava) who started 5 Hour Energy. Last time I checked 5 Hour Energy cost $3 per bottle, not $84 per bottle. At $84 per bottle, the accessible market for the product is like zero. At $3, the market is enormous and you get rich. You can read more about Manoj at Forbes (he made the list of Forbes Richest People which is where I learned about him). I offer a truce based on a new proposal to Periogen. You have a great product that seems to do amazing things. Rather than gouging your customers, how about you just boost your sales volume by more fairly pricing your product. Your pricing now is an obstacle to growing your market. With more rational pricing, you can make every American your customer. Besides, you will never be able to negotiate big volume deals with Walmart, Target, CostCo and other big chain, any of the national chains CVS, Walgreens, etc., because someone like me is going to run the numbers and see that they just don't compute. I visited your website today. Aesthetically, pleasing it is not. But I do like the video. It really needs to be redone along with the website to give it a more professional sheen. I also watched a Youtube video from a San Diego medical conference. I like the inventor. He is obviously a well spoken, honest and intelligent guy. His value proposition pitch was quite effective. Again, I think what is needed is better marketing strategy. You need to hire a professional web designer for a couple of hundred bucks to elevate the professionalism of your company. Also get a video crew together build some clean, high def video that lay out the science in easy to understand language for the American public to understand. This video can also be redistributed to dentist offices at low cost. If I were running strategy, I would also make contact with some dentists in Hollywood who service the needs of the stars. Get some celebrities on your product. Then what you do what Gunthy Renker did so masterfully with ProActive as well as what Nutrisystem has also done. You launch your product on a national scale via infomercial. You educate the customer about the growing problem of gingitivis/periodontal disease/bad breath/heart disease, etc. Get some celebrity spokesman and run infomercials, again selling your product at a reasonable price so that every American can easily afford it (no brainer decision). You get contact information for your customers and try to get them setup with auto-renewing purchases. With the enormous surge in volume due to better pricing, you still enjoy even greater economies of scale. You start displacing mouthwashes and other expensive and less desirable treatments (scaling, anti-microbial injection, etc.). You build the Periogen brand. Using your massive profit windfall, you launch an enormous state of the art R&D facility to future understand mouth microbiology. You instruct your scientists to solve the problem of gum loss (from excessive brushing, gingivitis, periodontal disease, etc.). Using the most cutting edge pharmaceuticals, stem cell research, etc. -- your team ultimately discovers a way to regrow healthy gums. You, the inventor, retire having enhanced the lives of millions of customers around the world rather than thousands you can currently help. How about that? A Couple More Ideas: Furthermore, rather than selling these small bottles which end up adding a lot of shipping expense, just send us long slender bottles (to minimize the cross-sectional area exposed to air/water vapor. I am thinking of a bottle that will last a year. Will require devising a better method of dispensing the daily dosage. Perhaps you could even invent a method of preserving the material (like a Foodsaver except for this water sensitive powder). To be honest, I have so many ideas right now on how I could make improvements to your business like a better delivery system (sealed pellets) or a scooper integrated in the bottle cap to avoid the pain of using that stupid blue spoon. I think a bottle lasts 6 weeks, so just send us 27 ounces per bottle. Or better yet, send us enough so that we can do this treatment 3 times per day using 2 scoops rather than 1! I mean really. The price of this material is so cheap, why treat it like its some other precious white powder smuggled in from Colombia. The stuff is cheap. We can afford to using 2 or 3 scoops per 12 ounces. When I run the math, that will still only amount to 27 x 3 x 2 = 162 ounces (~10 lb bucket). The blending costs don't really change and we get rid of a lot of small bottles (more plastic) for a single bigger container (less plastic). Sell me that product for $52 per year ("just a dollar a week" - infomercial) and I will buy it the rest of my life (auto-reorder). According to my calculations, that 10 lb bucket would only cost about $10, so you would still be making 400% profit... just not 1800%. Gingivitis and periodontal disease is a growing epidemic. (See: [...] Amazon removed my link... use the Tinyurl website and this code 'cxtky7z' at the end to find the PDF I wanted to share - this document also explain the meaning of Löe-Silness Gingivitis Index (GI) which will be referred to in a moment from a recent 2010 study of the prevalence of gingivitis) This study [...]again, Amazon censored my link, again use Tinyurl and this code 'cqqrkkk'] indicates the following results: "The race composition of the subjects (mean age 37.9) approximated to the 2004 U.S. Census data. The overall average GI was 1.055. Only 6.1% of subjects showed mean GI<0.50; most (93.9%) were > or = 0.50, with 55.7% > or = 1.00. There was a significant correlation (P<0.001) between the age and GI. The males' GI was significantly higher (P<0.001) than the females'; African-Americans showed a significantly higher GI (P<0.05) than other races except for the Native-Americans." You sure would be doing the world a great service by growing your business, making money back for your investors, and helping the rest of mankind combat this problem and ancillary conditions that can be caused by bacterial infection like heart disease. Your product could particularly help African-Americans and Native-Americans and African-American men and Native-American men in particular and older African-American men and Native-American men to be even more focused. If my other arguments have not worked, maybe I can appeal to your liberalism helping downtrodden ethnic minorities who have lower incomes and are thus being unfairly priced out of the market (disparate impact)? What do you say? P.S. I am an engineer who really likes to make decisions based on science. Can you post studies or easy to follow video on your website or Youtube that explains the magic behind your product. For instance, how does Periogen inhibit the formation of biofilm. From that pdf I linked to above where in the progression is Periogen blocking and reversing the ill effects of gingitivis and ultimately periodontal disease? I also like to understand a bit about how inventions came into being. How did you make this discover? Are you a dentist? The infomercial ought to explain this. P.S.S. I would also appreciate it if you could use those massive profits to perform some R&D into the type of water being used and its influence on the efficacy of the Periogen solution. I have very hard water where I live. I am concern about the minerals in my water adversely affecting the product. If the product will work better (like 10x) with distilled water, that would be helpful for your customers to know. "According to Mariotti (1999), the characteristics of biofilm-induced gingivitis are: (1) biofilm present at gingival margin; (2) change in gingival color; (3) change in gingival contour; (4) sulcular temperature change; (5) increased gingival exudate; (6) bleeding upon provocation; (7) absence of attachment loss; (8) absence of bone loss; and (9) histological changes. The intensity of the clinical signs and symptoms will vary among individuals as well as among sites within a dentition." There is no mention by this scientist about tartar. I have to believe the bacteria find the tartar to be a useful home for hiding out, getting nutrients, and launching raids on my gum tissue.

2018 favorite product
My results using this product is beyond expectations. Everyone is different, I'm only speaking from my experience. My teeth have never looked better, and my gums have never felt so healthy. My teeth were in ok shape. I started seeing that some of my friends were getting serious dental work done and that their teeth were a mess. My Mom is 82 and has amazing teeth. I made a conscience decision to get on top of my own. Go ahead and groan - but I brushed my teeth 2x a day and didn't floss. That was it. Gross. Now I use this product, water pick, brush with tooth paste and then floss in the morning, and at night brush with toothpaste and floss. I bought a whitening product, but I don't need it because of my teeth look fantastic. Listen, I am the most modest, meek person in the world - for me to be saying I have great teeth is not my usual character. THIS PRODUCT made me have great teeth. The way I use it is by putting a 1/2 to a full spoonful (included) in a little juice cup. I wet my electric toothbrush and then dip it in the product, so it's kind of like paste. I just dip it, brush, dip it again, brush. Not rocket science. Then I put a little water in the cup to catch what's left, and swish in my mouth and spit. Ta daaa - after 2 weeks I saw a noticeable difference. It can irritate your gums if your gums are inflamed for whatever reason (scraped with pizza crust for example). Just don't use it in that area for a couple of days. The product breaks up all the plaque and junk. I use a water pick too, but I really give this product a lot of credit. Flossing is a BREEZE. My teeth are whiter, my gum line look healthy and I swear I don't feel like I have bad breath. Is it pricey - yes. Did it work for me - yes. Will I never go without it - no. this is part of routine, just like I use serums and moisturizer for my face.

Eliminates morning breath!!
I purchased this Periogen after doing some research, both in print and in practice. I haven't been to the dentist in about 5 years, hardly floss, but otherwise a have pretty good mouth considering I've been so admittedly negligent! There's a tiny bit of tartar building up behind my lower incisors, but for nearly 6 years, you would mistake it for much less I imagine! Over the last 6 months or so, my hubby started commenting about my morning breath. I became quite self conscious, I don't want him or anyone else to start their day with some atrocious smell! I started incorporating mouth wash more regularly, I even started flossing more (still not daily, cut me some slack), but nothing helped. I delved into the specialty mouth washes that promise morning breath begone....nothing still! Then I came across Periogen. I after doing some research, I actually was more interested in the tartar penetrating capability, thinking 1) it might loosen up the small bit building up until I get to the dentist soon, and 2) help minimize continued build up over time. What I got at my door the next day shocked me! Since the first use, my teeth feel physically CLEANER. With once daily use over the past 7 days, I feel clean smooth teeth all the time, even after coffee or meals when I've otherwise felt grimey and needed to reach for a Wisp! What's even crazier? Day 7 the hubby wakes up to say "hey you're not stinky today! What did you do??" He had no idea I had been using this product (back to that whole self conscious thing...), so we were both pretty excited by this pleasant "side effect"! He has started to use it and agrees his mouth feels cleaner as well. Very happen to have found this product and finally eliminate morning breath!!! This will definitely be staying in our oral hygiene routines!

This is definitely a keeper. I'll be a customer for life.
I came across this when I was looking to up my dental care regime and wow!! It works! I was looking specifically for another pre-brush rinse to fight some plaque build up I found on the inside of my two lower front teeth. (this is the most common place it hides), I managed to get a small make-up mirror back there to take a look and I'm glad I did. I gave Periogen a try as it was significantly less expensive that the more commercial one I was looking for. IIm glad I did, I was able to clear up all the plaque in about two weeks. For convenience, I mix a weeks worth in advance and keep it in a water bottle ****(that should be clearly labelled, this has absolutely no taste and could easily be mistaken for water.) I've found the perfect regime for myself. I use a water pic instead of flossing, my electric toothbrush and this. My mouth couldn't be cleaner. Any plaque build up I had was gone and my teeth are whiter. All for a good price.

Finora sembra inutile
Mi riservo di modificare la recensione se mai avrò la sensazione in futuro di non aver preso un po' una fregatura, che al momento è la sensazione dominante :) Consegna prime ottima anche per questo acquisto.

Pays off if you are patient. Expect great results in time.
Fantastic!! I have been using it together with coconut oil pullings, and Corsodyl whitening toothpaste. And of course an electric toothbrush, which is much gentler on the gums and enamel. It has been a process, but my gums are looking healthy and stopped receding. Tartar softened, so after a while it is very easy to remove. And the stains on my teeth could continue to fade. I have used it continually for six months, but after six weeks I was seeing very noticeable results. If you can be systematic in using it, this product is definetly a winner.

Why is there no price saving for the 2 and 3 packs?
This seems to be a good product but the price is fairly high. On your website you have discount pricing for 2 and 3 packs. So why is there no "price saving" for the 2 and 3 packs on amazon.co.uk? Also the US$ to £ conversion is not 1:1. So UK customers are getting ripped off twice. Sort these two things and I might recommend this product to family and friends.

I'll keep buying it, though I'm not sure it's any more or less effective than baking soda (
(Tastes better than baking soda, at least!!!!! I'd buy it for that reason alone LOL) Alright, I'm gonna be straight up: I don't mix this stuff in with my rinse or whatever it instructs, so my results might be based on that. I saw some dude in the reviews before me say he (or she?) just puts this stuff straight on his tooth brush and brushes with it, and sees the most results for that. And I'm not gonna lie, that appealed to me more than some rinse or whatever, so I nabbed it based on that review alone. It definitely works for getting off stains/tartar in that manner!!! I use it in conjunction with a variety of teeth whitening products and dental picks, and it gets some of the most stubborn stuff away. That said, it is still quite harsh undiluted, and if you have sensitive teeth, gums or mouth you might want to still mix it with water or only use it every now n then. I used it daily initially, then when my mouth started getting sensitive, swapped to the recommended 1-2 times weekly or whatever it is (I basically use it when I "feel" my mouth needs it. Gets rid of any 'fuzzy filmy' feelings on your teeth for sure). As for size, it is indeed a rather small portion for the price. However, it comes with a little scoop and I don't even need the full scoop when applying to my tooth brush to get my entire mouth. Ontop of not needing to use it daily, I'd guesstimate this will last me a few months at least, so overall not too bad in the end.
