Just what I needed!
I opted to DIY a “barricade” to protect my septic area, located in the front yard. I have white vinyl around the back and sides, but could not enclose the entire front yard as I have gates on both sides that I need regular access to. I have already endured one premature drain field replacement from people feeing entitled to u-turn in the middle of my yard (including a FedEx driver who did this MANY times a week) made me want to make sure that trend would end. I have zero fence install experience but am very handy. For reference I am a 5’6” 150lb female and it took me 2 days to install 48ft (8 panels) of this in 97 degree full sun with ample hydration breaks (day 2 I erected a tent that I moved it along to keep myself in the shade). I did also splurge $32 on a 12lb post pounder, which I highly recommend you do as well. This would NOT have been fun with a sledgehammer! Sadly I had a lot of gravel on most of my line and had to hand shovel 10” down to get to soil/sand. It was less painful from there. Pounding a pole 32.5” into the ground is not fun, but I managed. Leveling and assembly from there was super easy for me. I did a string line, measured two or three times before placing a post, dug through 10” of gravel, set pole and pounded away. The vinyl post sleeve was more challenging for me to set because of my gravel issues, so it turns out a couple shifted and aren’t perfectly level at the top. They aren’t cemented in so it is easy to accidentally shift them upwards during assembly, which is what happened to me. I could have removed the gravel to reset, or I can cut them all later if it annoys me too much. Either way, it’s fixable, but could have been avoided 😂 Take your time, check things as you go along, and you will find this a completely tackle-able project at home. You probably have all the tools already if you are considering this, maybe just need a post pounder. Order one, even if you have a sledgehammer already. Easier to return if not used than wishing you had one or waiting on one to arrive. It seems pretty sturdy but not “solid” if that makes sense! Time will tell how well it holds up to FL’s brutal heat and sun, but I am very happy with the experience and end result. If ever I am forced to remove it or it comes time to consider a replacement, I saw a nifty video somewhere where someone used a jack to back those poles out of the ground (cool), so I am not worried there. And while you can’t remove the individual pickets once they are clicked in, you “can” undo the screw for the horizontal boards and remove the whole panel from the posts…if needed. I also went ahead and ordered some lower profile solar fence post caps to increase visibility to all those special drivers that gravitate to my street and seemingly into my yard and onto my drain field. For now I consider my battle won as this was significantly more cost effective than drain field replacement!

Install is nothing compared to traditional, couldn’t be happier.
Pros to this fence are it’s delivered to your door, sturdy material, quick installation compared to traditional once you get the hang of it, & real eye catcher.Cons to this fence are you have to purchase an end post separately, you can however purchase a two pack if needed and save money. Second draw back is hammering the pole into the ground. Probably the hardest part was slamming it into the thick dirt. I would recommend a post pounder instead of a sledge hammer but it will still work. Sledge hammer takes quite a bit of swings and make sure it is atleast 5 lbs. once you get past the pole, you have to level. It has levels on the top and bottom of the metal posts to help the white post stand straight. Once you get past the leveling and measuring it’s quick and easy after that however do measure and read the instructions because it is easy to be off by an inch when putting the posts in and they are NOT easy to remove. Also install the pickets last because those can NOT be removed once in place or you’ll have to break them & you’ll be out a fence panel. It is faster and easier to install than a traditional fence but it does cost more for its style. Overall extremely satisfied and the neighbors compliment the separating fence constantly. Adds character to our house now and gives us a sense of boundary next to our neighbor. Great choice for small yards or close neighbors.

Is okay.
WamBam Fence BL19103 No Dig Sturbridge Vinyl FenceIt’s not a very solid fence, got a bit of a wobble to it. Am certain it won’t stop a bear or moose, but it does keeps my dogs contained and looks nice. I’ll have to redo some parts in the spring though because the ground rose up a bit after winter came and we cannot open the gates very well or at all some days. Hopefully lifting it will fix that. I think it was installed with a 2.5-3in gap at the bottom. I’ll try something around 5 in gap when I fix in spring.

Perfect hight for covering garbage bins!
This was super easy to install! It took me and my husband just about an hour to an hour and a half and it looks so good! You can see in one of the pictures the hight is perfect to just reach over the top and throw your trash in while it still hides everything! 10/10 definitely upgrades the look of the house! Would love to buy more but taller for the backyard!

Saved tons of money
We enclosed our 1/2 acre with this fence and saved thousands of dollars installing ourselves. My son and husband worked on this for 3 weekends and it is beautiful and just as solid as fences with poured cement for the poles. The no dig design is well thought out and there is help on line if you need it. We spent 8000 and Amazon delivered this to our home and saved $5000 in the quote from a fence company to install it ourselves. The instructions make it work even with no experience installing fences.
