Gone Series 6 Books Collection Box Set by Michael Grant (Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear & Light) Paperback

My teenage son has issues with finding books he likes to read, so when we find a series he likes, we buy them all to have sitting on the shelf as motiation. He enjoys the action of the series, though has had a busy semester and hasn't gotten past the second one yet. He recommends them to other teens though!

The Gone series came in the box pictured, except it was sealed with plastic, which was nice. Books in perfect condition. No complaints.

I love this series but upon further research there are a few other books which is a shame. One corner of the set came damaged from lose shipping box. Otherwise beautiful set

This series of books are very gripping and yet disturbing (in a good way) considering it is about children trapped in a sphere with a horrifying monster. If you have ever read 'Lord of the Flies' , 'Under the Dome" , and seen the 'X-men' , you will definitely love this series.

“GONE” by Michael GrantI COULDN’T READ IT FAST ENOUGH!!This is the second time that I’m reading this series, and while reading “Gone”, I was remembering bits and pieces of what I had read before. It just made me want to read that much faster to further into the series.This story is so intense, gripping, horrific, tragic, and awe inspiring ~ seriously, several times I often wondered what kind of mental state would provide such an imagination! I seriously could not put it down.It’s yet another book that took my attention away from everything , including sleep. I can’t nearly enough praise the author or highly recommend this book and the entire series to fellow book lovers.I honestly, truly can’t wait for the movie!!! Because there MUST be a movie!!Absolutely, positively, one of, if not THE most highly, of my highly recommended books ~ truly, a MUST read!!“HUNGER” ~ INCREDIBLE, INCREDIBL READ!!I’m not sure what to say that I haven’t already said in my review of the first book in this series, “Gone”.Honestly, one of the very BEST books and series of books that I have ever read, EVER!If there was ever a book that needed a sequel, “Gone” is it. I’m starting to get sad that the series is almost over. My only hope is that someday this entire series will be made into a movie.One great thing I’ve noticed is that, more than simply reading these books, I’m expanding my knowledge. Several times throughout the series I’ve stopped to look something up, sometimes to find a definition, quote, poem or Bible verse noted in the book.There were also a few things that I did a Google search on. Mostly to look up some fact quoted in the text, like the unnamed reference to Rene Arocha, a Cuban pitcher, pioneer for being the first current Cuban National Team player to defect to the USA.All of these little side trips make for a very unique, educational and interesting read.Truly an utterly amazing series that I do not hesitate to recommend, and often do on all of my social media platforms!Again, you really can’t put these books down!“LIGHT” ~ WOW!!!!!I just finished reading the sixth and final book, “Light”, in Michael Grant’s “Gone” series, and, simply, WOW!!I could use any of the adjectives I’ve already used to describe the books so far, intense, gripping, horrific, tragic, awesome, amazing, outstanding, etc., and they all fit these books so accurately.Even the non-dialogue portions of the book take on the nuances and personality traits of the characters being written about.I’ve been blown away by the author’s ability to tell a story, and a damned good story, at that!I read about 300 books a year, and reading that much, in so many different writing styles and genres, about so many different themes, settings and characters, it’s hard to remember many of the books I’ve read.However, the entire “Gone” series is book after book after book that I won’t soon, if ever, forget.I learned long ago not to limit myself to “adult” literature. The “Gone” series is one of those rare gems that will appeal to all audiences, young and old.
