technolamp LED Bulb Mr16 6w 400lm Gu5.3 4000k (Neutral White) 24 Degree Non-dimmable 50w Halogen Replacement

Installed today, seems great for a replacement a halogen 20W for my low voltage system. This one is "taller" than the halogens and touches the glass of the fixture, but should be fine. My system uses a light sensor is on at least 8 hours a day. I will update this review as I can verify the longevity of the light. For about $3 more than a halogen, this should be a great deal over time.

These bulbs are bright and appear to be well made. The drawback is that the housing is physically longer than a standard MR16. That meant it didn't fit in one of my fixtures.

With trepidation I replaced a 50 watt halogen bulb that lights a tree and other landscaping features with this Technolamp neutral white 6 watt LED bulb. I love it! It looks brighter, casts a little broader beam and has less yellow than the halogen bulb. It's measurements are exact and fits the bronze fixture perfectly. I had already upgraded my sidewalk and step lights to LED, so now the lawn lighting is all low voltage LED, lighting landscape features and the walkway/steps. As the approaching winter nights grow longer I can run the lights longer, use far, far less electricity and have excellent, bright lighting -- all of which makes my home more attractive, safer and secure. As soon as I find matching bronze fixtures, I plan to add additional lighting to highlight other landscape and architectural features. I won't need to replace existing fixtures nor upgrade my transformer (it was sized to handle incandescent lighting). So, I save money, improve the lighting and make my home more attractive and safe. That's a good deal! Trepidation's gone and I'm happy!

I have to replace 3 of them in less a year

I'm setting up a mobile art studio (back of a moving truck) for a project my wife is working on. I have to run all of the lighting off of a deep cycle 12v dc marine battery. This is my second try at achieving bright enough light in the truck. I had purchased some other 10watt flood lamps. One of these bulbs is far brighter than 4 of those lit up at the same time. Very clean white light. My wifes artwork is detailed graphite work, and these show all of the detail very well. Also, the bulb fits well in some MR16 cans i found on ebay. Very happy so far.

Very low hrs.

Excellent replacement for halogen MR 16. Nice daylight color, very bright. Silver color perfectly matched my 12V track.A word of caution on replacing halogens: because of much lower load the transformer may not work. When replacing several lights you will see them work until the last halogen is replaced, then there will not be enough load. It happens with electronic transformers, magnetic will not have that problem. You will either need to look for a lower wattage electronic transformer or magnetic one.This is not a problem with the light bulbs, but the nature of electronic transformers.

I used these to replace yellowish halogen 30w landscape bulbs. Less heat, less power required, much brighter and more of a whiter light. I am very pleased with the outcome of changing to this product in my low voltage 12v landscape lighting. I have a 300w power supply/transformer. Using 30w halogens, I could only have 10 lights maximum and the lights at the "end of the line" were always dimmer. With these 6w lights, I can now have up to 50 lights if I so choose.
