Can you please find out the alloy of this hss. That determines how it's rehardened if annealed. If you don't know please just say so.

What is the grade of steel?

I do not recall, although I returned to Amazon where I placed the order and copied this information: Specifications: Size: 3mm x 6mm x 200mm, hardness HRC60~62. Are the edges 90 degrees and sharp?

The ends are pretty sharp. Everything looks to be 90 degrees on the cuts. I wouldn't expect super performance out of the package. Things bang around in shipping and handling so they tend to dull. I cut mine into shorter lengths to go into a hollowing tool I made then grind them like a scraper.
