works great as a tabletop tripod, grabbing onto stuff, or even as a chest brace for longer shutter speeds. I have never left this home when going out with the camera and family as it's perfect for family self portraits.

Solid construction. Dog chewed up other one. Will buy again if the Labrador gets hungry!

What I liked about the JOBY GorillaPod 3K PRO Stand was that it was much more stable than my old off brand stand. It's sturdy, stable, and somewhat lightweight. I wouldn't worry about it being a bit heavier than my old stand because it makes up for it by being heavy-duty. I can drop it from an average height and it wouldn't break. What I didn't like was that when I tried to wrap it around a fence, one of the pieces came off from one of the legs. It was really difficult trying to put it back on, I almost sent it back. Luckily I was able to finally put it back on and I haven't tried wrapping it around anything ever since. I wouldn't recommend wrapping it around anything for the sake of not having the same thing happen to you.

After contacting their customer support for warranty assistance they've basically weaseled out of supporting their products. A good gauge of a company is how well they treat their customers after a sale and, unfortunately, they've shown their true colours, they simply don't give a s*** about their customers once they've got your money. Their product failed me in less than a year with light use (I used it as a desktop tripod and basically kept it in the same position the whole time). The parent company, Vitec, also owns Manfrotto, Lowepro, Gitzo, as well as many other brands so it's impossible to avoid them altogether, however, it's important to warn people away from them whenever possible after being treated like garbage.

Have had multiple Gorrilapods over the past 10 years and slowly but surely they all break at the joints. Finally bit the bullet and paid for the 3K beast and after 3 months of hiking / travelling she’s still rock solid! Will review again if it ever breaks but v happy this far!

I ordered this Joby GorillaPod from Amazon expecting a brand new product, but unfortunately what I received was disappointing. The tripod that was delivered had visible fungus like white spots all over the legs and joints. Because of this, the rubber grips on the arms already seem worn out and slightly eroded. The texture doesn’t feel fresh or new at all. It honestly looks like old stock that was stored improperly in a humid environment. This is not what you expect when paying for a premium brand like Joby. The GorillaPod is known for its durability and grip strength, but receiving it in this condition raises concerns about longevity and hygiene. Very disappointed with the seller’s quality control. I would strongly recommend checking the product carefully if you order from this seller.

Ho comprato il treppiede senza la testa per la nikon z6. La macchina con obiettivo presa 1,5 kg più la testa a sfera il cui peso è circa 300 g. Già conoscevo joby e non mi ha deluso, anzi provato più volte sul campo mi ha dato piene soddisfazioni. Ben ancorato non si muove. In orizzontale in verticale e pure a testa in giù. Un altro vantaggio da un simile treppiedi è la possibilità di usarlo come estensione del braccio per fare vblog. L’unico dubbio è se le sfere che compongono le gambe rimarranno così ben serrate come adesso anche dopo vari utilizzi,

I usually travel with a Peak Design travel tripod, but wanted to cut my weight for this trip. I wasn't expecting much from this little tripod, but it's allowed me to get some long exposure shots that I wouldn't have been able to get without a tripod. As a bonus the security agent at the airport in Dushanbe got a laugh out of this little thing.
