I recently adopted a cat from a shelter and was concerned that she wasn't eating too much. I knew that this is common for a cat being brought into a new space, but it had been almost a month and she still wasn't eating. I read that some cats' whiskers can get irritated from their bowls if the mouth of the bowl is not wide enough, so I found these bowls on Amazon and decided to give them a try. I am happy to report that Luna, my long-haired Himalayan, is no longer finicky! She appears to be making up for lost time and is eating non-stop. So happy I tried these! And Luna is happy too!

Just what my calico needed! She started to get some feline acne on her chin so, and after some research, these were the saving grace! I measured the diameter of her normal bowls that fit in the raised stand/holder and these were perfect! I wanted to find a stainless steel set that was affordable and these were the best option, would definitely repurchase!

As my male Siberian ages, he has gotten pickier about how he eats. I bought raised stands (Platinum Pets Single Olympic Diner Feeder in Large) to place the food/water at muzzle height so he wouldn’t need to bend. My older Siberian didn’t like having to pick his food out of the 3” deep bowls. He would eat from a plate on the stand but frequently flipped it off the stand into the floor. The 8.6” bowls are shallow enough to suite his preferences while holding his 12oz home cooked meal, fit the Platinum Pet stand perfectly, and are stainless so easily cleaned between meals. I put a little Sugru moldable putty on the stand to help minimizing clinking during meals. Works perfectly!

I feed my kitty raw meat and canned wet food multiple times throughout the day and needed more stainless plates. This plate comes in different diameters so you can order one that fits the need of your four legged family member. I ordered the one little less than 6 inches and it is perfect. Shallow enough so the rim doesn't bother my kitty's whiskers while deep enough so it holds the food when I add water in it. I find this diameter perfect for cats. I may order more in the future.

So, upon unboxing, these *look* like good bowls. Sturdy, high polish, stainless steel (They claim 304 grade - no certification tho, and they are from one of two countries of high concern when it comes to SS processing purity and the vendor has not yet responded to a query about certification). But that is not my biggest issue.....The big problem is the bottom diameter. Like many, we are trying to replace bowls in a feeder -- with a finite diameter. The diameter of most cat feeders is going to be in the 4 inch range (ours is exactly). These bowls are listed as having a bottom diameter of 4 inches -- BUT the sides are sloping. So it's not 4 inches on the OUTSIDE bottom its' closer to 4 1/2 inches (the inside of the bowl looks like maybe 4? but who cares about the inside??).The bowls are huge (top-business-side-diameter) compared to the old ones we have (see pics) which is GREAT for keeping the whiskers clean (is whisker fatigue even a thing? IDK).It's the OUTSIDE bottom diameter you need to know -- so for the record -- it's closer to 4 1/2 inches on the bottom outside. As a result...... the bowls sort of perch on top of the feeder hole, not totally precarious but not solidly either. I happen to have a "tapper" -- for some godforsaken reason, he needs to tap everything before he eats/drinks. Which means the food bowl gets tapped, the water bowl gets tapped... you get the picture. (OMG, I just realized he might be OCD! 8-| so, there's more money down the drain for kittie psychotherapy)Alright. That's it. Proceed armed with accurate knowledge(P.S. Same problem with the big water bowls from this same company -- just a titch too big so they will not 'seat' properly in the feeder). Waterworks guaranteed for this household. Anyway, as noted, they look like good solid stainless steel (as long as they actually are 304 grade) --- but the dimensions may be a bit misleading.

This is the perfect size I needed to set inside the food holders for my cats. I like that it is and is stainless steel so it won’t retain food orders; a soak with dish detergent softens anything stick to it. I don’t have to worry about it giving my cats chin acne; because it’s wide enough, it won’t irritate sensitive whiskers when eating. Just make sure you order the correct size for your pet’s needs.

Got these bowls for my cat. The 6.7 inch diameter top and listed is 4.75 inch in diameter. That bottom diameter would've fit perfectly in my cat's raised food holder. The problem? The bottom diameter is 5.25 inches. The holder is 5 inches across. It is just a bit to large for the holder, bummer.Otherwise, these bowls are fantastic in quality/price. May order the next size down, but those might be too small for my cat. Love the wide shallow cut of these bowls to alleviate whisker fatigue. One full whisker was in his bowl about a week ago. I have porcelain bowls for him and not ideal for my cat. I will try these bowls out and see how it goes.I am hoping that the bowls won't dump out of the holder.Please, seller, fix the measurement (bottom diameter which displays 4.75) for these bowls.

After a series of different materials for cat feeding dishes, I find I like the stainless ones. These are great, even dried food comes off easily after a short soak in hot water. I have several cats and like to give them clean dishes at least once a day, so these have helped the turnover speed up. I would buy again, and may replace all of mine with these over time. Thanks for a great product! Oh, the shallowness means no whisker issues … the cats really prefer these.
