Rediscover the timeless story, the memorable music and unforgettable characters -- now more enchanting than ever with pristine digital picture and dazzling high definition sound! Cinderella has faith her dreams will come true. With help from her loyal mice friends and a wave of her Fairy Godmother's wand, Cinderella's rags are magically transformed into a glorious gown and off she goes to the Royal Ball. But when the clock strikes midnight, the spell is broken, leaving only a single glass slipper...the only key to the ultimate fairy-tale ending!|The public made CINDERELLA one of the highest-grossing films of the year and Disney's most successful release since BAMBI. In fact, it was one of the top-grossing films of 1950, pulling in $4 million during its initial release.|Animators were having trouble drawing Lucifer the cat in CINDERELLA when Walt Disney saw animator Ward Kimball's cat, a furry calico, and declared, "There's your Lucifer." Review: Classic - We love this movie, and so did our kids. Review: 4K UHD is one of the best restorations in cinema history. - Well they restored the negative a while back for previous releases, but they had a company completely recolor the films and degrain everything. Safe to say it was a weird modernization that most purists did not like. Anything shot on 35mm was subject to this process of some sort. Many of the films did not fare well, some of them being utter disasters, e.g., The Sword in the Stone. But now we have what looks like the most faithful image to the negative that anybody has seen. They again rescanned the elements, and professionally processed the scans, yielding proper tones and colors; finally that clean and lovely silver blue dress is as it should always be, and line art has been faithfully restored as well. You don't have to ask to many questions here. This is a SUPERB transfer among Disney's best. It's only the second grainy film behind The Little Mermaid (1989) to be released on 4K so far, but it's among the best transfers you will see this year. Absolutely stunning. The audio seems more or less the same from previous releases, but that's not really a bad thing in my book. This release comes with a remastered bluray. I for one am keeping all my old slips and steels because they are worth quite a bit. The packaging of the slip here is pretty nice for current Disney, but it just has a little embossing on the titles and 100 logo. Nothing like what we had in the bluray age with debossing and embossing and all kinds of cool details on slips along with the best steels we have ever seen. Sad to say the steelbook for this 4K release is one of the worst ever made. Stay clear of that thing. Overall, a mesmerizing accomplishment. Cinderella finally looks like it should. The slip and packaging are very good, and I could not ask for anything more from this release.

Cinderella is one hour and thirteen minutes and was released in theaters on February 15, 1950. Cinderella is the of a beautiful woman who has become a maid in her own home due to her stepmother squandering the family fortune own her own daughters. One day an invitation to the ball arrives and the wicked stepmother tells Cinderella that only "if" she gets her chores done then she can goes to the ball. It is late at night and her chores are done, but has little time to get her dress done. Unbeknown to her the mousses and birds have got her dress ready for her. Cinderella rushes down stairs to go to the ball but her stepsisters tear apart her dress. Cinderella runs to the garden and begins to cry. Cinderella's fairy godmother appears and gets her ready for the ball. The best part about this movie is the rescue scene where Jaq and Gus steal the key from the stepmother and get it all away to the top of the stairs to rescue Cinderella. This was Disney's first full length animated film in eight years. This was the first Disney movie that the famous Nine Old Men worked on together. Now the only thing that I dislike about this two DVD set is disc two. It is information overkill and half of this stuff can go. The movie Cinderella gets an AAAAA+++++.
