DCS THERMOCOUPLE 13007-2

Back in 99 I bought a Kirkland PC-2600 BBQ Grill from Costco. Over the years It has provided us with many great meals. Eventually the cast iron burners corroded to dust. So we got a replacement grill with stainless steel burners, also from Costco. Big mistake: the new grill doesn't have a rotisserie. Thankfully the rotisserie on the old PC-2600 kept on working. It provided us countless perfect Thanksgiving turkeys, Christmas Prime Ribs, and Easter legs of lamb. In between those special occasions it has even provided rotisserie chickens that taste even better than Costco's famous $4.99 version. But then sadly the rotisserie burner would not stay alight anymore. The thermopile (aka thermocouple) was to blame. I found a replacement on Amazon, but the $96 price tag was clearly a rip-off. I am an obstinate old kodger. On principle, even though it meant forgoing all that delicious food, I refused to back down and cough up.The other day I saw the old grill sad and neglected, surrounded by fall leaves, and covered in cobwebs. Was it time for a trip to the landfill? The seven stages of grief kicked in. Somewhere between the anger, denial, and bargaining stages, I searched Amazon again, and Hallelujah a miracle: this thermopile for less than $9! And it works. My rotisserie is back in business, and just in time for Thanksgiving too. No Turkey this year though. Too much food for a small socially distanced outdoor family get together.Next step? Maybe I'll search Amazon for some new burners and heat plates for the old grill?

The part description on this website is very misleading, leading me to believe that this was a genuine DCS part. It is not.. it is a universal aftermarket part. With that said, this worked to replace the rotisserie themocouple on my DCS BGB-30 grill. Before the rotisserie would not stay lit, but now it works like a champ.This part is about 10 inches longer than the genuine part it replaced, so I had to find areas to take up and store the slack. Other than the description, this part worked just fine.
