Easy & Work Great If You Follow Instructions
This movement is great! It was very easy to install and is very accurate in keeping time. A clock I loved but was broken for years is now running perfectly again...and is even better with the sweep second hand this movement has. I don't know why there are people on here saying the hands don't move...but the second hand does or that this is cheap junk. It's not junk and I suggest to those that purchase it to read the instructions and all your hands will work and your clock will keep perfect time. The three most important things to remember: 1> Don't over-tighten the hex nut that holds the movement to the clock face...just snug it till the movement case won't turn. 2> When installing the hands on the shaft, use your thumbnails on equal sides of each hand and work the hand down on the shaft until it stops ( it does take quite a bit of pressure ), just use steady pressure and wiggle a little if you have to. 3> When installing the hands (all 3) make sure they point dead center on the "12", and only use the thumbwheel on the back of the clock movement to set the time. Do not move the hands with your fingers except to make a "fine adjustment". If you follow the instructions and my advice above, you simply can't go wrong. Hope this helps a few of you. Im a very happy customer and highly recommend this movement.

Easy-Peasy Installation!!!
This is a great replacement quartz clock mechanism!!! It took me maybe 10 minutes to remove my old non-working clock mechanism and replace it with the new quartz clock mechanism!!! The assortment of new clock hands was also a super addition to the kit and I was quickly able to select just the right one to go with my Porthole Clock...they look great with it now and I'm super pleased with it!!! The new clock mechanism works perfectly and maintains accurate time... Buy one to replace your old non-working mechanism and you won't be disappointed!!!

overall great value for a repair kit
I used this to repair a decorative clock. it was varied enough to accommodate my needs for hand size/thread size and it generally works very well. it was a little fiddly to install in the clock, but that could be MY clock and not the kit, which in general was very easy to assemble. There are enough choices to be very universal for fixing a clock you like that you cannot replace.

works great
Make sure you measure correctly. I thought I had, but I was wrong. If you can, take the old one completely out to measure and pay attention to the picture on line. Luckily Amazon made it easy to return, and get the right one. You can't hear it at all. It's wonderful! Hands have protective film on them and are packaged good. There's even step by step instructions. The hands snap into a little notch. I was afraid to press to hard so it took me a little longer to find the right spot. It came with choices on hands including the second hand. Been working now for a couple months. The instructions recommend using a Carbon Zinc AA battery. Wish that information was in the description, because I could only find at Amazon so, I had to order and then wait till it came. Over all It's great.

Great Value, Well Built
For the price, you can't beat this silent movement. The three sets of hands are a nice feature. The mounting bushing can be easily shimmed with 1/4" flat washers to obtain the proper face alignment. I used the gold color hand provided, but they were too long. Since they're made of aluminum, it was an easy task to snip them down to size with small electronic wire cutters to almost exactly match the clock's original hands (a 1947 Seth Thomas electric mantel clock). There is a "button" that you insert into the second hand driveshaft if you don't need the second sweep hand (I didn't). All in all, it was a half-hour project, and I'm very happy with the result. Purists might scoff at the notion, but it's a great way to preserve the look and functionality of an heirloom clock with a worn-out gear train. After all, you can always re-install a rebuilt movement should you happen to find one, since no case mods are required. Keep all of the clock's original parts "just in case".

Affordable replacement part.
Slightly cheap feeling, but it seems to be keeping accurate time once I got it working. A little finicky about the tightness of the nut holding clock in place.

Multipule options for one great price.
II'm a woodworker. I do many various projects. Recently I've made a few clocks for family and to sell. These movements so far are great. I've had one in my office for 3 days and perfect time thus far. As in the pics you’ll see this kit comes with EVERYTHING. You have 3 styles of hands to choose from. I chose in this case to go with the brass and added the second hand to it. It’s your choice how you want to mix or match them. Other places charge for the second hand and one set of hands. The movement itself is thin some are as much as ¾” these I believe are ½” - 5/8 “. I inset my movements, just because I don’t like my clocks to set off the wall too much. these thinner movements keep it more flush with my inset. The shipping was quick; I like the kit in total.1st Pic is everything included in the kit2nd pic is the inlay i do for the movements3rd pic is the movement installed into my clock4th pis show how far the movement set out from the clock once mounted in the inlay4th pic is the hands and 2nd hand mounted to my clock face
