Easy Touch Eas-2709 Glucose Test Strip (Pack of 100)

I use the Easy Touch Meter - got it at Sam's Club, because I needed it the same day - eve since I got it, though, Sam's has been out of stock, which is not in the slightest bit funny. Here I can get them quickly and easily.Now for the product review. I have read these are inaccurate. Not true. I now have a Contour Next by Bayer, very nice, but each and every reading is within 5 points of the Bayer, at one third the price. (and trust me, lancing myself twice each time to compare was not that much fun).They use as little blood as the Contour - ONE NOTE: You can add blood to the Contour strip, but NOT the Easy Touch. (It doesn't happen that often, but Advantage Contour.)THEY ARE THE LOWEST PRICED TEST STRIP AVAILABLE.Here's what I use, day in, day out.Easy Touch meter, 33G lancets from Easy touch, the Easy touch lancet device (the one included with my Bayer meter SUCKS), so now I have two of each, one for office, one for work. I use the Bayer when I travel, since it is TINY and I know someone will have the test strips.

Love these strips I get them for my diabetic dog and they work great. I order them all the time and always get them so quick!

If you use the Easy Touch glucose monitoring system, these are a perfect strip and easy to use. I've never had one that failed or gave a misread.

They do what they're supposed to do. Their readings match up with my doctor's.

This product is dangerously defective. I have been very ill and now realize why. This morning I took 2 readings from the same finger stick on different strips. The first was 150. The second was 450... both nice round numbers. Yesterday I took 3 readings on 3 strips from the same finger stick. The first was 40. The second was Lo. The third was 350. Again all nice round numbers that are totally meaningless and unrelated to my blood sugar levels, which have been extremely high due to these false readings. Last weekend I tested at 120 in the morning and took a standard dose of insulin and went to the bank a couple of hours later. I could barely walk straight and had no energy. I felt like I was drowning in pain. Come to find out my blood sugar was actually over 600! The meter has been giving me nice, round normal figures when my blood sugar has been creeping higher and higher. I purchased this as an alternative to the ridiculously increasing prices of my old strips, but you get what you pay for. I'd return it, but it is past the return window because I was using up my old strips first. This should be pulled from the market. Please don't risk your health on these! I've lost enough time off work and am heading to the drug store to pay an arm and leg for some real test strips for my old meter.
