EUREKA! For CAST IRON -- best 7-buck kitchen tool EVER.
I acquired a complete set of vintage Piqua, Griswold, and Wagner (first generation) pans two years ago. After working for days to properly sand, restore, and re-season (flax seed oil - 6 sessions), I began cooking on them and found that when things in the pan got crispy (like bacon, steak, etc) cleaning was a worry and a real pain with the standard "wooden spatula" method. I was worried about damaging the perfect surface and it was a lot of work too. I saw these on Amazon and for seven bucks I gave them a try. EUREKA! BEST CAST IRON CLEANING TOOL EVER! You hold it at a low angle to the pan (lift the pan out of the sink) add warm water (dish soap optional) and scrub using the ends of the bamboo "whisks." The whisk takes any cooked-on crusty stuff right off the surface immediately. I mean SERIOUSLY -- less than 30 seconds!!! No elbow grease required. Works great on the sides too. When the pan is clean, toss the whisk into the dishwasher. Viola! In less than three minutes you are DONE. I bought a set over a year ago and they're still going strong in spite of countless runs through the dishwasher. My vintage cast iron is getting better and better because the seasoning is getting stronger and smoother and more effective with each use. How did I live without this 7 buck item?? I DO NOT KNOW. They will always have a place in my kitchen.

Very poor quality.
First one completely fell apart after about a dozen uses. I will start using the second one now and see how long it lasts. I am not expecting much. I would have to say they are very poor quality.

Used for barbecue grill and cast iron pans
I purchased these to clean my barbecue grill instead of using a wire or nylon brush. I stand this in a coffee cup of clean warm water for 2-3 minutes and use to clean off the char debris before and after grilling. This has truly been an awesome discovery for me and saves my grill grates which saves me a lot of money. I also use it on my cast iron pans with excellent results. I wanted something that could clean/scour without damaging my medium or being toxic to my family or the environment. These are a great price for a 2 pack and the more use they get, the better they clean. When these finally wear out, I’ll be back to purchase more. So far, I’ve had these for 2 years with heavy barbecuing and they hold up very well. Note: Soak in clean water long enough to soften the fibers but not too soft. 3-5 minutes should be more than enough time. After using, rinse with warm water and (if needed) mild dish detergent to clean. Stand upright to dry overnight.

Works well on pots and pan
This is nice because you don't have to put your hands in the hot water, it scrubs well. The only complaint is pieces do occasionally break off and you have to catch them before they go down the drain. food does not appear to stick to it.

Falls apart
Cleans well, but falls apart quickly. Each one lasted maybe 5-10 cleanings

Exceeded my expectations!
Excellent Value! efficiently cleans within a few seconds., I've had my Wok for a few years, and it's developed a really nice non-stick patina, so it was important for me to have something non-abrasive. I can tell you this does a great job, and ZERO scratches whatsoever. It comes with two, so now I have spare. I use my Wok just about every day, so I'm guessing I'll need to purchase every 6 months.

Made Wrong
If you've never used a bamboo pan scrubber, don't judge them by this one, because this one is made wrong. The hollow space in the middle of the 'straws' (actually split bamboo) is much too large, making the 'brush' much too flimsy, and similarly the straws should be banded much closer to the tip. In order to use this effectively, you have to hold it not by the handle but halfway down the brush, so you can keep the straws firmly together. Better bamboo scrubbers have a sliding band that you can move upward as the straws get worn down. You can add one to this scrubber if you try. A few heavy wire ties will do it, in fact, and then it works pretty well. For what it's worth, these are best for cleaning glass, steel, carbon steel, and cast iron pans and baking dishes. A good one will remove cooked-on material very well but won't damage the finish or seasoning. They're not for cleaning drinking glasses or non-stick surfaces, etc, and won't be a good choice for those. Also, you want to hang these up to dry thoroughly after use. This is a cheap pair of bamboo scrubbers, but they seem to have been made by people who hadn't used such a thing before.

happy with them so far
Its really stiff & I like I'm using something natural to clean and it won't scratch as easily as a metal scouring pad. I use this first as much as possible, then sometimes finish off (if there's anything left) with a nylon scrubbie (get the hand crocheted ones from Etsy- much better than store bought) I use them on my cast iron skillet.
