Selkirk INVIKTA Midweight Pickleball Paddle (Charcoal Ice Tyson Sig. Black)

I switched to the Invikta mid weight from an Engage X series (8 by 16) in hopes of gaining some power and topspin on serves and drives. The Invikta surface provides improved grip on the ball which is noticeable on topspin serves. The slightly reduced width caused some mishits on heavy slice returns at first, but didn’t matter after a day. The Invikta dinks and blocks well if you have good stroke mechanics, and it really excels at slap kills or roll attacks.This is a great paddle for intermediate and advanced players with good mechanics, but might be tricky for others.

Simply put, this paddle is awesome. I would recommend this paddle to intermediate to advanced players, as it leans on the heavier side of paddles. However, this paddle plays better than any I used previously. When you need power, this paddle produces in the bucketloads, but it also has an incredibly soft feel for the dinking game. It's pricey but it is absolutely worth it for any serious tournament pickleballer.
