Don't waste your time on this one. It only comes on when plugged into the wall. Notice I said it only comes on, which doesn't mean it worked.I called customer service and listened to a recording that says due to the high call volume a ticket needed to be opened. About 4 hours later I received an email in which they told me to get with Amazon for a refund.

I should've read the reviews. I purchased by USED thinking it's a great deal $100 off. Doesn't turn on. Turns on when plugged in. Doesn't hold a charge. I inspected the sealed sticker to see if it was tampered with and was broken. The screw was missing. I removed the back panel and saw that the battery had been replaced. The new battery should have a new adhesive sticker to hold it in place and this did not have it sticking to the board. I tested the voltage of the battery and it was Zero volts, completely dead battery. A complete waste time. DO NOT BUY.

The Hoverboard was a gift to my 9 year-old nephew. I was hesitant that it would not be a smooth ride or might end up having problems with charging and what not. But for months now, he has had such great fun on it! His 6 year-old sister is also now an expert. It’s just amazing to see them float about on the board so naturally! It has exceeded all my expectations. Zero problems so far. It was a lot less expensive than some of the other brands which were more than 3 times the price I paid for this. Worth every cent! Highly recommend for children. Of course with all the precautions needed in case of the inevitable falls during the learning phase.

I actually purchased this hoverboard last Christmas. We took it out of the box, plugged it in until the light was green. We unplugged it and attempted to turn it on and it would not turn on. No matter how many times we pushed the power button nothing would happen. Tried charging it again, still nothing.We needed up exchanging it for a new one. Which we took it out of the box and plugged it in. Charged it up and attempted to turn it on and NOTHING. It will not turn on unless it’s plugged in. The light is green and fully charged when it is plugged in But it will not turn on at all.I forgot to write this review. But I ended up just putting the hoverboard in the box and storing it in my closet because I didn’t want to deal with it. Forgot all about it until I recently moved this month and came across it again. Figured it attempt to get it to work a third time. And still nothing. This is a real bummer. My kids were so excited to use this thing and it hasn’t even been able to be used once.

I liked it when I got one that actually worked the first one had a bad battery

This was bought mainly for my son who is 7 and he is enjoying it a lot. We didn't do any stretch test on battery, so far it was good for my son's use (he usually put it on charge before it is finished) the speaker quality is not bad. under $100 this is the best hover board that you can get with light and speakers. I had to return the Hover - 1 model without the speaker that I got and within the next day one wheel failed to auto shut off, even though it was functional otherwise, we tried another hover board which would randomly loose the auto balance, finally this one was the keeper.

I bought this as a gift for my son. We opened it and immediately charged it up. After about 2 hours of charging we decided to try it. I unplugged the charger and the unit wouldn’t turn on. After a while I realized it would only turn on while plugged in. I have a very technical job that involves electrical circuitry and solid state electronics so I decided to take it apart to make sure the battery wasn’t unplugged or something easy to resolve. Upon removing the cover and exposing the wiring all looked normal other than the fact that the battery looked like it came off of a shelf of an old warehouse. It was clearly an old battery and when I checked the voltage it read 0 and wouldn’t tale a charge. It was an old defective battery in my son’s “new” hoverboard. Needless to say it was returned and I did not order a new one.

I bought this for my granddaughter as a Christmas present and she loved it.
