This is best used with a steel rule or heavy duty plastic rule. Used on a cutting mat this is so easy and fast. Much more accurate than scissors. Had it a while now and it’s still cutting well, can buy spare blades, but if you look after it, it will go on for a good while.

Really excellent rotary cutter! I bought this as a birthday present for a friend who loves sewing – she sews clothes for her family and friends all the time.I’d watched her struggle to get clean, accurate cuts, without any frays or tears, for a while. We were watching TV and she saw someone using a rotary cutter like this and expressed how much she wanted one but was worried about the price. I immediately jumped on Amazon and found this excellent cutter!It’s so reasonably priced, but don’t let that fool you – this cutter could compare with any of the more expensive brands. It’s very sharp, and it cuts beautifully on every fabric she’s tried so far. I imagine on some tougher materials you may need to add a bit more elbow grease to get it all the way through, but overall it is a fantastic piece of equipment. My friend says she doesn’t know how she lived without it!Highly recommend this product.

This is excellent value for money. I've never had a rotary cutter before, so didn't want to spend a lot. It came quickly, very well packaged. I opened it cautiously and tried a few cuts. Brilliant! It's one of those tools I can't imagine doing without now, although I'll need a lot of practice before I can cut fiddly bits with it! It's brilliant for long straight cuts. The handle is soft and comfortable and there is a safety cover for the blade that you click on and off. This is one sharp, neat, well-made cutter. I have small hands and don't like clumsy tools, so I like this for sewing.I'd say the packaging is misleading. If another reviewer hadn't mentioned it I would have been expecting more in the packet. You do not get extra wheels with it, so ignore all those pictures down the side.

I first had one of these about 4 years ago when I started sewing but having had a son since then sewing took a backseat until he started school. Now I'm back sewing I wanted to replace my now dead blade with a new rotary cutter which was the same. Especially as I'm always loosing it in the sewing room! I find it really easy to hold with a good grip support where needed and I also suffer from chronic arthritis so this was a huge reason I wanted the exact same cutter again. The blade is really easy to get out when in use and can be easy to pop back without the risk of injury. Cuts very well cleanly and effectively where desired. For the price I'm thrilled and will be sticking up on another in case this one goes walkies too!

As a cutter it's great though i have nothing really to compare it with, it feels nice in the hand and slides open and closed nicely. Bought it because it was cheap compared to other cutters and would buy it again. It's cheaper than a good pair of scissors and cuts fabric way better imo! The blade did seem to dull rather quickly, I'm not sure if it was because I had accidentally scraped it across my metal ruler (note to self: don't do that). Anyway that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I managed to buy replacement blades though and it was really easy to change and works like new so that's good. For me this cutter is really good value for money.

This is the first time I have purchased, and used a rotary cutter and I am impressed. As a novice I am practising cutting straight lengths of fabric with precision using the cutter on a self healing Ansio self healing board. The cutter is really sharp and cuts a clean sharp line using a guide ruler with consistent pressure. The cutter has an integral safety guard which is activated with the flick of a switch and comes with clear concise instructions of how tor place the cutting blade when necessary. This wasn't an expensive purchase and I'm very happy with the results it delivers.

Why didn't I buy one of these sooner? After years of fighting with blunt scissors and me wonkily cutting fabric I thought I'd give one of these a go after seeing it on a sewing programme on tv. What a difference this thing has made! Cutting fabric is now a doddle. You can be pretty precise when using this so it's great for cutting out patterns. I've not yet mastered corners or sharp edges but for cutting out long strips of fabric this thing is great. It doesn't clog up and is still sharp after a good number of uses. I'm a fan!

This is a great rotary cutter and has seen me through many sewing projects.If you want to do smaller corners, a smaller cutter might be useful, but for those areas I just use scissors.I always dread the 'cutting' stage of a sewing project because it takes forever and hurt my back because I do it on the floor(silly me). This saves sooo much time compared to scissors, because you don't have to spend an eternity pinning endlessly. Just get something to weigh down the pattern and off you go.
