Dont use on tile or gloss wood floors.
I gave it 2 stars because the actual quality and look and feel seemed good. When I first took it out of the box I thought that it was very heavy and quality made. The problem is that it does not hold the door shut. It's easily slipped so for me it is useless. So if you're going to use it in a room with carpeting it might work out but if you are using it on tile or a wood floor it will just slip no matter what. I tried jamming it into the bottom of the door and it still slipped. Completely useless for my purpose.

Exactly as described. Sleek, heavily weighted to manage any door. I like the look of this doorstop, which complements the style of my 90 year old craftsman home, despite its modern high polish. The all~rubber doorstops eventually warp and crack over time, needing to be replaced, but this shiny stainless steel doorstop is worth the few extra pennies, for its durable construction.

It's so pretty!
When we did a make-over for our school secretary's office, we got rid of everything. I even threw out the old ugly doorstop. When I found this one, with the black rubber and the shiny chrome.....well it's just perfect! She loves it.It's the little things that often show you care the most. Attention to details in important!

Too thin to hold the door closed waste of money
I should’ve sent it back as soon as I open the package it’s not bad enough to hold the door shut so my cats can push it in with one Nudge the point was to keep them out no stars

It Does the Job
I have a very heavy wooden door that would not stay open and this door stopper works like a charm. I’m using it on a wooden floor as well and it does not slip. I subtracted a star because there was a very strong chemical smell when I first unwrapped it that last about a week.

I need help with the door
Who would have thoughts wedge doesn’t work with my door! The space beneath my door is too big .It is sturdy beautiful and will work on other doors with another person

Absolutely works. I got this for my daughters bedroom door since it won’t stay closed at night and she doesn’t want the cat coming in to wake her up. Worth the money.
