This tool works exactly as you would expect. There are some other reviews that mention the magints are not strong enough on the wider plates but I did not have any issue with the plates staying on. I used the on the front calipers of my 2018 F-150 calipers and this tood worked well, the only issue I ran into was that this tool did not expand far enough by itself to calaps the calaper pistons so I used one of the old brake pads I had removed as a shim to get the additional width needed on my trucks calipers and this little guy did a great job. This is not a professional grade tool but it will most definitely do the job if you just need it to do a brake job at home every now and again. I highly recommend this tool for any weekend warrior out there. I have always used a big pair of channel lock pliars I have but I decided I would try this tool when I stumbled across it on Amazon for a cheap price, and I must say, money well spent. I will definately be using this tool to do my brake jobs on my personal trucks from now on.

this thing is awesome and it works great

Worked pretty well. Could've been 5 stars but the magnets for the larger steel plate attachments for larger calipers are pretty weak so they fall off pretty easily. It would work fine either way, you'd just have to be careful when placing the tool in the caliper otherwise the plates fall off with a light nudge. Still, just a minor thing so I still give it 4 solid stars. Highly recommended for a DIYer or family/friend mechanic.

Awesome tool

Piece of garbage do not buy. Bought it in may used it first time last week early July failed right outta the box body of tool separated making ratcheting mechanism useless and the the push pad is pressed of the armature that failed as well outside window to return otherwise it would have gone back. Don’t waste your money

Magnets fell out out of the box. The two flanges don't hold together without the magnets very well, it worked if doing one set of brakes but if plan on doing multiple brakes I wouldn't recommend it the metal flanges bent on the second one I did. Seems little poorly designed. Overall I got what needed done making what I had work that's why I didn't give it a one star. Need to make the magnets stronger and more secured to big flange, need to make it to where the hole that the big one slides into the small one have a locking mechanism of some sort.
