Naturally this type of 'chin strap' takes a little getting used to, but it is about as comfortable as it can get for this sort of anti-snoring device. I bought two of these, one for alongside my comfortable recliner in front of the TV, and one for the bedroom. I don't use it every day, but when I do: it works, and keeps me from unintentionally snoring, or having dry-mouth after a night of sleep. But, if your nasal passages are plugged-up (you have a cold) it probably won't be useful if your mouth is all that is 'clear & open' for breathing. This is a tight elastic strap, so it is possible to open one's mouth if you need to talk. You can adjust tightness of the fit with the velcro strap. Decent price for a good product.

I have worn chin straps for years and this one is perhaps the second worst, if not the worst ever. I also use a CPAP.The area that fits over the chin does not shape itself to the chin and therefore slips off during the night and loses effectiveness. This area is overly wide and just sticks straight forward, providing no support and doing nothing but catching on the nightclothes until it is worked loose.The slots for the ears are too small to afford comfort and get smaller when the strap is tightened. If the strap is placed over the back of the crown of the head and over the chin, the ear holes disappear and the strap chafes the ears all night. If the strap is placed over the chin and the ear holes over the ears, the top of the strap is too far forward to stay on the head overnight.I cannot for the life of me understand where all the positive reviews came from unless they apply to a previous design of the product

I gave this strap 4 stars only because it is not appropriate for me personally. The chin strap has two openings for your ears. My ears are particularly sensitive to pressure. The openings for one’s ears are just too small, restricting, & put too much pressure on my ears. That being said, the strap is made of a substantial neoprene-like material which should be long lasting.

Having sleep apnea for ten plus years, I did not realize that not wearing a chin strap was allowing my leak rate, and AHI episodes to not be in the range I wanted. After purchasing the anti snoring chin strap, my AHI has dropped almost 2 points and I am no longer waking up with a horribly dry mouth. The strap is very comfortable and easy to wear.

I used this during a time when I had to sleep on a wedge because of shoulder surgery. I was waking up with a mouth that felt like paper. Yuk. This works, sort of, for the first few hours, and it gives me full relief from dry mouth then. But it usually slips off my head in about three hours. If I don't wake up to readjust it I wake up with a sort of dry mouth instead of a paper mouth, so I still use it. It's not a matter of not having it tight: I have it as tight as it will go ... even about an inch past the velcro. I have fine hair which may be slippery than most so it might not slip if you have a butch cut or courser hair.

This strap just doesn't really work. It's too stretchy. To get any tension to hold the jaw shut you have to overlap the Velcro too much to the point the bottom of the slot for you ear hole is against your ear. That leaves Velcro showing at the top which sticks to pillows, blankets, and the sides of the slot for the ears. There is still no tension to speak of to hold the jaw closed. The inside material is very scratchy. The sides with ear slots quickly permanently stretch, further reducing any tension against the chin. The material after a few uses begins to fall apart (as shown on the picture).

Yuck. Stinks, and it’s scratchy as heck.

Unlike the last variation of these I tried, this strap does not leave deep creases on my skin.
