.... because it looked odd. And what WAS that little disc thing on the end? And was this going to be one more thing that could break or get in my way? I finally decided to give it a try because it was a package of two and it was a reasonable price and if it worked, this was a great value and if it didn't? It wasn't an annoying loss.I was pleasantly surprised and knew the moment I held it in my hand that this was going to be a good purchase. It felt good in my hand when I picked it up. It had a little weight making it feel solid, it was slender enough that it wasn't awkward or cumbersome and it felt like a pen... if that makes any sense to anyone other than just me. LOLIt is metal with a band of (rubber? plastic?) for grip so it doesn't slip through fingers.I was also thrilled to see that the end with the little plastic disc had a cap cover so the little plastic disc wouldn't break off in casual transport in my bag or ipad cover, or elsewhere.Best part, the cap screws on instead of "snapping on" so it stays securely on when it is on AND it screws on BOTH ends so you aren't left trying to figure out what to do with the cap when it isn't secured on. Yeah!The details matter! Hat tip to whomever designed this stylus. It is REALLY well thought out and designed!In use, I am finding that it works beautifully across a windows computer, mac and my android phone with no problems. I am thrilled with this purchase both for function and value.

Excellent and great quality for the price. Attentive customer service. I was asked to review the shipping packaging and happened to mention in passing that one of the tips was jammed into the cap and making that particular tip unusable. No big deal considering I had three other tips to use. Well, they contacted me right away and asked if I would send them photos of the damaged tip. I did, and within 24 hours they sent out a new set, although I was not asking for a replacement. Too often with products at this price point, I have often found, manufacturers just don't care. But Dimples went above and beyond. I get great precision with this stylus and this is the only one I'll use for my digital watercolors. I have recommended this stylus to friends that also paint digitally, and they have purchased this stylus and love it. I like the accuracy of this stylus that I've ruled out purchasing an Apple Pencil... Thanks for saving me $100.!

I've always liked the features and functionality of the various touchscreen devices I've owned, but I can't stand the oily buildup from using them. I've tried virtually every stylus out there, and with the exception of the Samsung Note Spen, I haven't found anything I couldn't live without until now.The new generation of Dimples Excel precision pens is a must have for smart phone and/or tablet owners!! I own the hybrid and disc variants and I absolutely love them.Performance: Both the hybrid and disc versions perform exceptionally well. They are responsive and accurately simulate the finger tip better than anything else I've come accross. The hybrid is my go to for all around functionality. I mainly use the disc for handwriting as it's able to trick the tablet/phone into feeling finger pressure while allowing for pinpoint accuracy.Durability: Both versions come with multiple tip replacements. I've yet to replace one, but I'm happy to know I have replacements on hand. One thing to note when considering the choices is that the disc head is much more fragile than the standard one. It's obviously meant for finesse. If you want the best of both worlds the combo disc/hybrid pen is fantastic. General wear and tear has not been an issue so far.Value: Can't be beat in my opinion. Performance at near the accuracy of an active stylus at a fraction of the cost. Whether you're looking for a day to day stylus or something for fine detail, you really can't go wrong with the Dimples Excel products. The color is very pretty, pretty sturdy didn't feel cheap in my hand and for the most part they work as they are intended to work.The precision disc did nothing for me as to being able to see what I was doing or to help me in any way while using it, this is the first time I have used a stylus like this so I am not sure if it is for me. It did lose contact when I was trying to write a grocery list so I had to go over the area so I knew what I was picking up but I am not sure if that was the pens fault, my fault or the tablet. Did fine if I was just doodling nonsense lol, so not sure what I did wrong when writing. I am using a pro 12 tabletI did test it out on my scribble pad for my HTC One M8, I had better luck with that for writing lists, so may be the tablet or the tablets screen protectorWould I recommend it, probably if a friend was looking for something like this but I think I would let them try mine first.

Finding a fine tip stylus that would work on an Andriod is not easy. The Dimples Precision Stylus said it would work and without having to be “charged”. Could never figure out why a stylus that does not have bluetooth or any other means or connectivity had to be charged to work.These Styluses have worked on my Asus Zenpad 8.0 nicely. Being the model that does not take the Z Stylus, it has been a challenge to find something that would work. I needed a fine tip for some of my puzzle apps. The fact that this one offers 2 tip choices has been even better. Now I am not stuck with several styluses to keep up with.Works just like my finger as far as senitivity. It is decreased when my screen is dirty. I do have a tempered glass screen protector on my device.

Good hold, weight etcThe Blunt tip (end) is simply-stated useless! Very unpredictable, inaccurate, works erratically (and sporadically!) 0*The pointy tip (end) is nearly 5* (*****), for writing on screen, signing, and for basic sketch and art work.The makers of this product should probably work on the blunt tip and modify its function to serve as an "eraser" which is what it looks like. Currently, it is nearly useless for being used as a reliable eraser or a writing-drawing-painting stylus.NOT REALLY TOO IMPRESSED WITH THE PRODUCT and the package! Pens sold in a pair!! Both have similar flaws and the advantage as stated in this consumer's review.Would I buy it again: HAHAHA! I was just a little bit skeptical about this and not entirely convinced by the tiny point that is on one end of this item. But, you don't know until you try. So, after ordering I sat back with a little sense of dread wondering if this was another gimic to catch the unwary. I could not have been more wrong.Okay, so one end of this works as normal broad tip stylus - although I admit that the hybrid fibre mess is far better than the rubber tip used on other items. What surprised me the most was the fine point. Now, it's not entirely like a pencil point, as there is a fairly large clear plastic shield attached, possibly to keep the tip flat to the screen and/or to give it some support. But, it works, and it works extremely well. One thing that has driven me quite nuts with tablets and similar items is that you cannot sketch with any real accuracy with that fat rubber tip. While I have seen some great art created on tablets and phones, I've never managed to do more than doodle myself. Having purchased a Microsoft tablet I found that the pen stylus was really easy to use and allowed me to do what I want on a item that is easy to carry around. However, that meant carrying two things with me, plus peripherals. Not always satisfactory.This item answers a lot of my prayers. I can use it as a standard stylus on my phone, KindleFire, tablet.... anything that has a capacitive screen. But, wonder of wonders, I can also sketch - properly sketch - on my fire and/or tablet. Great! Now I only have to carry one thing around with me. When the urge takes me I can load an art app on my fire and scribble away to my hearts content, and when done, or as a break, I can flip to a book and carry on reading.Pure heaven.The tip is a little fragile, so it won't take heavy handed use, but it is easy to learn to use, very comfortable to hold and no more of the issues so common to a standard stylus or finger - obscured images. Thanks to the clear tip, you can still see the screen, and no more mile wide misses when sketching something.The product comes with two pens, and six replacement tips in a rather nice black presentation box. Best money I've spent on a tech tool this year.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Le ho prese per il mio iPad air2 e devo dire che funziona davvero egregiamente, come si vede dal video.Hanno due tipi di punte (con relativi ricambi): una con dischetto di plastica morbida attaccato con un filo elastico (quindi si inclina ogni volta che si tocca sullo schermo, come si vede sempre dal video) e l’altra con la solita parte morbida, che si trova anche su molte altre penne/gadget (ma in questo caso non è di gomma ma di un materiale telato elastico, che pare più rifinito e pregiato).Allora, la prima (quella con il dischetto trasparente) rende una sensazione un po’ strana e innaturale quando si usa, con il vantaggio però di vedere esattamente qual è il punto di contattato sullo schermo, che genera la traccia.L’altra punta (quella morbida) dà un feedback più naturale, dato che non c’è niente che si piega e somiglia ad un pennarello normale, ma ha il limite che non si vede esattamente il punto dove tocca con lo schermo (perché la punta è cicciottella), quindi se serve precisione è meglio l’altra.Le due punte si cambiano in modo diverso (una si infila e l’altra si svita), quindi non sono intercambiabili… Peccato perché solo la punta col dischetto è dalla parte gommata della penna, per impugnarla meglio, mentre la punta morbida ha la zona di contatto con la mano di alluminio, quindi un po’ scivolosa.Che dire, per essere capacitive sono piuttosto efficaci, dato che il tratto non si interrompe mai. La velocità invece con cui si genera la traccia, cioè con la quale la linea disegnata riesce a stare attaccata al punto di contatto, dipende solo dalla velocità del tablet. Con l’iPad Air2 la sensazione di scrittura è piuttosto realistica e la traccia segue bene la penna anche disegnando piuttosto velocemente.Infine, ricordiamoci che sono penne capacitive, cioè replicano il dito della mano e non sono penne attive. Questo vuol dire che se appoggio il palmo della mano sullo schermo e pretendo anche di scrivere non funzionano. Sarebbe come pretendere di usare un tablet o telefono con un dito, tenendo un altro dito che tocca da una parte.

If you use a stylus with your tablets, buy these now. For 20 dollars CDN this quality set will serve my needs for a very long time. The stylus is weighty (but not too weighty) and sturdy. At one end is the normal size mesh covered tip and at the other end beneath a cap is the precision tip for fine work on images, etc. The set includes two pens with tips attached, two extra mesh tips and four extra fine tips, all packaged in a sturdy and attractive box. I highly recommend this set!
