DOES fit 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv (despite Amazon's claim) OEM identical
Though the Amazon tool says this doesn't not fit the 2012 Mazda 3 skyactiv the part number matches Mazda's and it looks to be identical. The MAF sensor on my car failed (code P0101) and it would not idle at all. This sensor looks identical to the original-- cannot tell the difference visually --and it worked immediately without any issues. Code cleared, engine runs fine. Silly Mazda dealer locally wanted 3.5X the price for the same part, didn't seem surprised when I laughed at them on the phone.We'll see how this performs over time. The original went 110K miles/13 years but failed without any sign of a problem...car simply would not run one morning. Hopefully this replacement will outlast the vehicle.

I unplugged the MAF and the car ran fine. MAF cleaner did not help
I have a 3rd gen 2.0 L Mazda 3. One day I started my car and it died 10 seconds later. Started again tried giving it some gas. The idle bounced all over the place and without giving it gas it died. The car only had 38 k miles. I unplugged the MAF and the car ran fine. MAF cleaner did not help. I bought this replacement and saved almost $100 over local dealer price. Works like a champ with the new MAF, but I would honestly buy a different brand over OEM if one was available. The original MAF failed too soon.

Car works again
After Mazda 3 had the problem where it started but quickly died, I used a OBD-II analyzer to diagnose that the MAF was not working. This replacement is the right one for my Skyactiv 2012 hatchback. Because this was a model year change, there is another MAF for this same year so make sure that you get the right one.

Exactly what I needed. OEM Part at a reduced price!
I took my car into the dealer to see what's up and they tried to charge me over $500 to resolve my issue. Can you believe that? I just bought this part and removing a single screw replaced it on my own and saved hundreds.

Simple Fix!
This is a cheap and simple fix for Mazda3 that wouldn't stay running and very easy to remove and install.
