Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was skeptical of this toaster since it isn’t a “brand name” in the US, but I decided to give it a try anyways. It is the best toaster I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned several! My last was a kitchenaid that couldn’t toast evenly. Also have had Cuisinart that was disappointing and inconsistent. This toaster has several features that I like - the light up button when it’s toasting (which you simply press to eject) and the handles that you push up to make the toast come up higher (so that you don’t risk burning your fingers) are my two favorites. The knobs are smooth-turning (rather than set to pre-recorded numbers), so you can fine-tune the toast time with precision. Toasting is even and this works well for bagels. Solid construction (doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all like some other toasters, such as some black and deckers). I’ve been using it for about 4 months now with no problems at all. Hopefully this will be long lasting.

FYI......This is the second one of these I have purchased in two years. I really loved the first one because it is the first toaster I ever had that toasted an english muffin totally in the first round! It is higher wattage than most toasters so it cooks quick and hotter. Now, I'm approaching 70 and have had probably only 5 or 6 toasters in my life. I don't think I ever had one that broke, mostly I've upgraded for newer models. The first one of these I had caught fire. I cleaned it regularly and there were no giant chunks in it, so I'm not quit sure how it happened. The entire inside was on fire and had to be unplugged and drowned in the sink to stop it. Had it been in a different place, it could have been a disaster. I'm hoping it was a freak accident and maybe the toast got stuck! I am giving it a second chance because it did work great for almost 2 years and it is on the less expensive side! I will definitely keep and eye on it and never place it near anything else that is flammable!

I use the toasting basket things CONSTANTLY. I used to toast things like burger buns on my griddle, but often times the edges get too toasted and the middle not enough. Problem solved with this toaster! Just plop them on the basket and let them toast to perfection! The regular toaster is pretty standard. I find I just need to use a much higher setting than I need to on previous toasters I've had (when I use setting 5 on this toaster, it's similar to a 2-3 on other toasters).

I am so glad I purchased this 4 slot toaster. It came very well insulated in the package which I love to see. It also has additional pastry warmers that go right on top of the toaster and my croissants get nice and warm and toasty without using the oven. It has a cancel button which I really like. The lever pops up my bagels higher just like described so my family doesn’t have to burn their fingers trying to pull out of the slots. It’s sleek, contemporary and has a professionally designed finish. The breads and bagels toast perfectly and you get to choose what level which is clearly described. Definitely a great value for the money. The crumb slot is secure and doesn’t move but easily slides out and doesn’t create a mess like other toasters do. Great toaster!

Great toaster. Works perfectly. Very simple to use. The buttons on the front are for 3 different items. 1. This works the biscuit warmer that sits on top of the toaster. 2. If your toasting a bagel just push the bagel button. Comes out perfect. 3. That button says cancel. If you want the toaster to pop up press that button.On the back there are crumb trays that pull out to clean out the crumbs.The slots are nice and big to fit your thick pieces of bread.

EDIT: it's been a few months with this ugly toaster and it has broken. We don't use it often enough to say we got our use of it even. One day toast needs to be cracked to the highest setting to get a slight toast on it, other daystar toast is burnt to a crisp on the lowest setting. The heating elements all give up for awhile then start back up again. (Maybe they're union and taking their mandated breaks?) Either way, it's going in the trash and I'll be spending a tiny bit more on a toaster that's not junk. (Also, I ended up putting the toaster in the cabinet so it doesn't bug me looking at the aluminum foil appearance)So the pics look like it'd be stainless steel colored. Coupled that with the fact that the color IS stainless steel. Well, this is straight up chrome color. It's so shiny! To the point that my OCD is being REALLY effected. Partially my fault for not actually reading the reviews and looking at pics. I just knew our toaster went out and this one was on sale so I needed to get it fairly quickly. Unfortunately, I doubt I can keep it. It's like straight up aluminum foil! I'll leave it in my kitchen for a few days to see if I can handle it though I don't think I can at this point. I may have to just stick to ninja products so tlstuff can be a specific color or the basic colors will BE the basic color.
