Sock Cop Sock Clips Multi-Colors (20 Clips), The Hand-Cuff for Socks

I love these. It saves so much time when putting away laundry. I imagine if someone wanted they just leave the clips on and put them in a drawer. I do have pain issues with my hands so these can be hard for me to use some days but most days I'm fine and they work great. They aren't great for anything with a wide weave as they will stretch the material or just come loose.

I love these. Bought them months ago, and have never had the clips fall off the socks. They are a little tricky to get on till you get the hang of it, but not worth removing a star. And my socks are all waiting for me in pairs in the dryer! No more piles of mismatched socks to sort through, and no socks eaten by the machine. A winner!

When I first bought them and used them first time I thought they were great but I'm discovering that the tabs you pinch to open them (to remove socks) are way too small and fingers tend to slip off and getting them open is hard to do. Five months into use--I still like my old slide-clips that are no where to be found much better. These are NOT for people with normal sized fingers/hands the pincher end is way too small. I have been hurting my fingers trying to get the clips open and they have damaged the top of hubby's socks! DO NOT BUY this junk! We have 10 yr old+ sliding clips I just re-found on Amazon and have ordered--they work for years and NO pain to hands or fingers and no damage to socks! YEA--back to slide clips!! Thought they weren't around anymore!

Compared to other products, I like how so many clips come in one package so I only needed to buy one pack. They work most of the time, but they have trouble staying attached to thin socks. Putting multiple pairs of thin socks in one clip might solve this. I do not recommend this product to people with arthritis or similar condition in the hands, because they are fairly hard to squeeze open. My hands are small and not really strong, so I open the clips with my jaw in order to insert the socks.

I'm going to base my review on 4 criteria:Do they hold? Do they damage the sock? Are they easy to put on and off? Are they prone to break? 1) Steadfastness: In a load of 60 pair 10 pair came undone. I was hoping for less than half of that. Both thin and thick socks ended up coming off it didn't seem to be related to the sock. 2)Damage: In particular to the thicker socks these left a rather conspicuous dent. During agitation it seems the fabric stretched around the contact point. It seems this might be a place where the sock develops a hole. No holes were formed though and stretching the sock around my hand minimized the dent, though it didn't completely disappear. 3)Ease of application: They seem to go on easier than off, but yes it is a chore. Though any sock holding system will be. 4)Breakage: None broke and they didn't seem like they would. Seems to be a good quality plastic.

too hard to attach

I love love love these! Every time I'm searching for a second sock, I'm frustrated that my husband won't buy in to their use! My kids are four and six and even they will used the sock cops but my husband cannot wrap his head around the idea and believes the socks should magically stay together in the hamper and wash! :( I think they key is buying enough of them. I have ordered them twice but the first time I was just going to try them and the second time I was convinced so got more but with two kids you need color-specific to each child and it just so happened that they used them for art projects and other applications so they're now dispersed and we are not using them. This does not change my 5 star review because I believe it is a function of our household and my lack of ability to get my husband in board they we're not using them daily!

Finally!! Have tried several different brands and styles of sock clips / keepers and all have been a dismal disappointment until Sock Cop. Its small but holds secure so does not deform the top of the sock like many others styles do and they work for every type of sock from thin dress socks to my triple thick winter hiking socks. Cant ask for a better product especially at the price.
