Used these on over 100 invitations, very fast, high quality
I have had zero experience with glue gun sealing wax. S I was able to seal around 113 event invitations -- even with all of the glue gun dripping -- in about 45 minutes with one pack of 7 sticks. About half way through, I discovered a dime sized worth of wax is more than enough for a seal, so with proper technique, you can squeeze even stamps more out of a pack (but get more than you just in case!). I was using the standard wax seal stamp that you probably see all over amazon. It's about an inch in size. This wax has a very nice, classy gold finish. I have some other gold wax from a kit (the kind you melt in a spoon), and this glue wax was much higher quality. Don't be scared about putting it into a glue gun. It comes out nothing like hot glue. The wax has the correct amount of fluidness and does not stick to the stamp. The wax sticks very well to the paper envelopes I was using. I sealed them anyway, but I am sure the wax would have probably held the paper.I used the "Surebonder L-270 Low Temperature Standard Glue Gun" and it was a perfect fit.I have used sealing wax the old fashioned way with a spoon -- this is probably 100x faster with more consistent results. I did not have to deal with any messes or burnt wax.

Lovely. Will buy again.
Gorgeous wax, does exactly what you'd expect it to do. A bit flexible like it's supposed to be, but stays on envelope. The first time I used it I accidentally stamped the design crookedly, and I was able to peel off the stamp and do it again, but it took some force to get it off and I don't think it'd pop off on its own on regular paper. Hasn't yet anyway. When I peeled it off it stayed in one piece which was nice. I don't think it'll crack in the mail.It came off the wax stamp cleanly (and I didn't put clear ink on the stamp or stick it in the freezer or anything like that).I used the SureBonder L-270 low temp glue gun. It did take two sticks to get it going in the gun but it melted perfectly. I'll probably get multiple guns for each color of wax because they're only $5-6 and I like being able to switch colors for personal mail use.

A bit brassier than I was expecting, but did the trick
The color wasn't quite what I'd expected (more brassy than gold - see photo), but still looked good. We wanted to do wax seals with our homemade wedding invitations, and this was my first time attempting any of this. Surprisingly so easy to do. I ordered the "Adhesive Technologies 0443 Two-Temp Cordless Glue Gun" from Amazon and used that on low temp to distribute this glue. One full trigger pull of the glue gun was enough for exactly one seal. (Make sure you give the glue gun enough time to heat up first and do a "test seal" each it's time it's turned off and on again though, if you want more consistent, foolproof results!) Push your stamp into the nickel-sized glob of glue immediately, let it sit for about 20 seconds, and gently release. Using this technique, the glue never stuck to the stamp, amazingly. Sometimes when I tried to remove the stamp prematurely, though, the seal would lift from the envelope, so watch out for that. In these cases, it helps to wait a little longer and hold the edge of the seal down with your finger before removing the stamp. I was able to make about 100 seals using the 7 sealing wax sticks, but about 15 of them ended up either falling off the envelopes or being throwaways for other reasons. I'm sure this error margin is more attributable to my lack of experience than the quality of the product though.

Classy way to seal any envelope or wedding invitations!
These glue gun sealing wax sticks were purchased for the seal on my daughter wedding invitation. They were easy to melt, looked great and added a lovely touch to the simple envelope that was chosen. The gold color was very "luxe" and expensive looking. I will definitely buy this item again in the future there are some really great colors. definitely a better alternative that the traditional wax sealing sticks that you have to light and drip! Much easier to use, makes streamlining a large number of envelopes a breeze! The glue sticks shipped and arrived promptly. I like the fact that it was packaged modestly; in just a plastic bag to keep it compact and neat. I truly hate an abundance of unnecessary hard to open packaging that clutter up our landfills!!Thank you for reading! I hope my review was helpful and assisted you with your decision to purchase or to not purchase this item.

Beautiful color gold!
Beautiful color not that obnoxious bright gold! I did find that if you were doing a lot of them if you are gun got too hot ( I have the one specifically for wax ) you had to turn it off and let it cool down because the wax wouldn’t cooperate. I did about 90 invitations and when I got to about 65 I had to cool the gun down.

Not worth the money.
I wasn't pleased with these at all. I would use the glue for some of my son's science experiments and the glue didn't hold up. The price was too much for being such poor quality.

This is not sealing wax-it is glorified glue.We bought four packets for a school project to use with signet rings made by our students. We do the project every year and normally use 'time and again' sealing wax- it works well -this glue just gummed up the rings and ruined them-it was impossible to get an imprint. Very disappointing!

Quick & cheap way to make invites look fancy!
I used exactly 2 packages on 150 wedding invitations and they did the trick! They weren't as "gold" as I expected, definitely more brassy and sometimes they were a bit temperamental with the heat of my particular glue gun but once I got going I think in the end they looked great! I put them on top of vellum jackets and they fit nicely into the envelope.
