The device seems to allow the charging function with no problem, but my headphone jack does not fit into the adapter well. You have to push pretty hard to get it to fit all the way in, and it's just as difficult to disconnect it. But the worst part is that there is a high-pitched humming noise in the background (interference), and the volume has to be turned up to almost half way to be able to hear well. It's not something I would recommend to anyone, and I haven't tried to return it yet, so we'll see how that goes.

I've been using Bose QC headphones with the apple lightning adapter, but I bought this adapter so I could charge at the same time. Plugging my headphones into this adapter yeilded a terrible feedback noise I could hear without even putting them on. It seems to only hum slightly if you fidget into a good spot, but no good at all. Returning.Also annoying that they seem to have highjacked the product page for some cases (which where rated very well) in order to sell this junk.

These are very poorly made. Now generally, I am the kind of person who reads reviews and thinks that a negative reviewer has impossibly high standards. Please understand that I tried to give this product a chance.I bought two, one for my car and one for my wife's. Mine worked fine for a few days before the sound quality dropped. I thought the problem was my aux cable so I replaced that to no avail. I then learned that I had to have everything plugged in 'just right' to get it to work. After a few weeks, it failed completely.My wife did not immediately use hers. Since she uses bluetooth in her car, it didn't get used until our first road trip together. It was plugged in for less than an hour before the sound quality dropped. I tried unplugging and plugging it back into the iphone, and the metal portion of the plug broke off inside the iphone!I am giving it one star because zero is not an option. I only hope this review saves someone else from making the same mistake.

The adapter for the charger works BUT when I plug in the headphones it doesn't work. The headphones are brand new and I have tried two different headphones. There is also an echoing sound and humming sound that if you don't have the chords a certain way it won't work. I'm going to return and see if a new one will work and this one was just faulty. Will update my review if it works.

If you need to use your microphone then don't buy this. Your microphone on your Apple headphones won't work. You won't be able to make calls with this adapter.With that being said the quality is pretty good. Seems like a good price for a decent product overall. 4 stars due to the lack of microphone support,

Bought two of these and both have consistent feedback on the audio jack even without the power plugged in. Ran through a couple quick attempts at removing the feedback, hoping maybe the metal casing in the jacks were to blame but nothing affects it so seems to be a design flaw.

Was good quality, for the month it lasted before breaking. Had this product for just over a month and while it charges my phone fine still, the headphone part of the splitter has stopped working almost entirely. Wish it had lasted longer, was good while I had it!

Although this item looks nice and the build quality seemed ok, when put into use it was horrible. It charged fine but trying to use the headphone jack while charging was not ideal. There was horrible static and bad sound quality from headphones while using the headphone jack and the charging at the same time. Look for something that has better reviews and quality. I guess you get what you pay for.
