This is a good quality boar bristle brush for the price. It’s a little to soft for my liking because it’s hard to style wet hair when using a blow dryer but the fit is comfortable in my hand and I think it will take some getting used to. I like that it doesn’t tug my hair out. Some if the bristles do dash it when cleaning the hair out of the brush after each use.

The brush lost a few bristles over the first few uses leading me to wonder how well it's put together and how long it will last. Otherwise, it's a great brush. I like its single piece construction so my hair doesn't get caught in joints. I have fine, thin hair and it works perfectly.

Upon first glance, the boar bristles look fine (I was actually psyched for this brush because the bristle rows are further apart than my previous one, so I thought this one would grasp my hair well). Unfortunately, the wood handle, while pretty, renders the brush nearly unusable.The wood handle is very smooth (and pretty). If you put any type of product in your hair (I've tried several types) then the residue on your hands causes the brush handle to be incredibly slick - literally too slick to hold on to. This renders the brush completely useless, as I can't get a solid grip on it. Thus, I have no idea whether the bristles can actually straighten hair or remove frizz. Yes, I have tried washing my hands, wiping off the product residue etc. Nothing works. Even hands which have been freshly washed/dried are too slick for this brush.

I am questioning if these are really boar bristles as they are SUPER hard and feel like plastic. I only use boar especially when my hair is wet because it reduces breakage. My hair is fine and only real boar fluffs it up nicely.How can we tell if these are really boar?

I absolutely love this brush so much! At first I didn’t know if I was going to like it but once I finished brushing my hair it felt soft all the oils were spread out. I didn’t even have to wash my hair for three or four days because it was able to put the oils where they needed to be. My hair is 5 inches past my shoulders—which is the reason I didn’t think I was going to like it. It did take me a little bit longer to brush my hair however the end result is incredible and completely worth it.
