These calcium pills are great. East to take and super effective. Just three months in and they’ve already made a difference with my osteoporosis.

After researching absorbable calcium to help increase bone density, this one was mentioned most often as being the best. It is expensive, however it is an investment in good health!

No stomach pain or upset, no tiredness. This has been the easiest calcium I have ever been able to take. Easy for me to swallow even and I had my throat replaced so if I can take it ANYONE can !!!

While the AlgaeCal calcium supplement did help my bone density tremendously after a fall resulted in a hip bone fracture, I am very disappointed that this product is advertised as plant based. The vitamin d3 is sourced from Cholecalciferol, a sheep wool lanolin derivative. The practice of extracting Cholecalciferol in large scale sheep shearing can be extremely rough and cruel to the sheep. I feel that saying this is a plant based product is deceptive advertising. I recently purchased the AlgaeCal Plus Bone Builder Pack based on this being plant based but on further research I discovered it really isn’t. I also ordered this because I took the AlgaeCal calcium supplement over the several months following hip surgery. The last hip x-rays proved that my bone density had become very good. I want to be sure my bones are all as strong as they can be and will finish the Bone Builder Pack I have purchased, but as someone who loves and has compassion for animals I am aghast at what I have read about lanolin processing. I hope AlgaeCal changes their sourcing of d3 and makes this product truly plant based in the future. There are plant based alternatives for vitamin d available.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:As someone who went into early onset osteoporosis in my forties and suffered a few major fractures as a result, I incorporated Algaecal bone builder as part of my daily regimen and two years later my bone density improved to the point that I now have osteopenia, and am almost normal in my lumbar spine numbers, which were initially the worst! I don’t know how much of that to attribute to algaecal versus the other interventions, but I’ll absolutely be keeping on with it indefinitely.

I've had one bone density test since I started taking AlgaeCal. My bone density seems to have improved. My teeth seem to be stronger also. I will continue to use this product.

Good potency and easily assimilated. Seems to be high quality. A little pricey.

I have been taking the Algaecal Plus, Algaecal Strontium Boost and Algaecal Collagen Complete for 5 months. I do not know if it is working because I can’t get a dexa scan until October. So far, I have been able to tolerate these supplements without a problem. My only complaint is the price. It’s expensive to me ($155/month).
