I read someone had trouble setting with app. I didn't have any problem with this one, but another one I purchased from ebay. I'm using it inside my dog's house, remodeled storage building. I used to stay up late and went to check the temperature of the dog house. However, there is a problem. It seems like the device will turn off if the room temperature keeps over/under the range or High Temperature and Low Temperature alarm settings.

This device works perfect. It does exactly as stated, can turn on and off connected device at certain temperatures. I use it to keep a detached garage warm. The Wifi feature it amazing and allows you to monitor temperature from anywhere and manually turn on and off connected device as well. At app also displays history of temp. Other devices on amazon that only monitor with WiFi are $50 and up. With this you can monitor and control a connected device for only $30. Amazing! Things to note, WiFi works only with 2.4 ghz, plug is rated at 10 amps (1200 watts at 120v) so those bigger ACs or larger heaters will not work.

I used this device to turn on and off a roof ventilation system installed it in September work for a month or two didn’t need it in the cool weather now it doesn’t work can’t see my Bluetooth can’t see my Wi-Fi due to this I can’t program it can’t get a hold of the company that makes it Far as I can tell it’s trash

Item was easy to use and set up. Works fine when programming when to start and stop. (The wireless app feature does not work though I it keeps telling me it is offline and I have reset everything connected it three times and every time I try to open it up in the app it disconnects needs some improvements. )

Ordered a device, when I received it it looked like it was opened already and a return that was repackaged. After testing I was unable to get it to connect to wireless after following the instructions that came with the device and the instructional video. After multiple attempts and using different phones still had the same issue. I assumed maybe it was the device. Sent a request for change out, received the change out device and came across the same issues. I attempted to fix both "Wireless" and "Bluetooth" both confirmed fix, tried to pair again holding the Up and Down Arrow to put it to -P- after attempting several tries device cannot be added. It works but if your looking for wireless functionality you may come across issues. Even verified that I allowed all access and and out of firewall, no port blocking, went even as far as DMZ setup. I am just thinking maybe IOS is too advanced or just defective.

This sensor isn't the most modern looking, but it is reasonably priced and works perfectly. Connecting to my wi-fi was a lot easier than with other smart home devices I own.
