Great Little Shaver
Amazon says I have bought this shaver several times now. That is over many of years, but that's still embarrassing. I should be more careful, but it is my regular shaver, my travel shaver, and the shaver I carry in my "purse". The problem is that when using it on-the-fly I drop it. Or, most recently, I lost it. (I think I set in on top of my suitcase at the airport and when the taxi pulled up I forgot it was there, rolled away with my bag, and it fell to the curb without my noticing. Not sure, but that's my best guess.)Pros:- It works well.- Small.- Uses 2 AA cells, which are replaceable, so the whole shaver does not need to be replaced if the battery won't hold a charge. And if the batteries are dead, swapping in good ones is faster than waiting for a charge.- Has a trimmer.- Has a real off switch, no phantom drain of the battery when it is supposed to be off.- Won't switch on accidentally if it gets squeezed in your bag.- Foil is covered to protect it, and the cover stays attached so you won't lose it.- Fairly tough for normal use, but don't drop in the street while walking down the sidewalk shaving. (Yes, that's me.)- Decent price.Cons:- There is a cleaning brush that has a parking place but isn't that secure, it can get lost; but I never use it, I blow out the chaff myself and that seems good enough.- A bigger/better trimmer might be nice, but too big and it no longer works as a trimmer, so this is probably a stupid quibble.- Does not come with rechargeable battery nor a charger. But rechargeable AAs are available, and if you already have a charger (I do) that avoids yet another wall-wart power supply to keep track of.- A bigger, more powerful shaver might clear my face faster, but this one works well and small is a feature.I use quality rechargeable NiMH cells, and I charge them in a better charger than what might be built into a shaver. The result is they charge individually and never get overcharged, so I don't ever *need* to replace them, because they keep holding a charge. The swinging thing that covers the shaving foil might seem silly, but it isn't. It covers the foil, protecting it and it locks the switch from accidentally turning on. I could imagine a design that might be smaller, but the current size fits my hand pretty well, and the cover not being a loose item to misplace is a good thing. If I were traveling really light, and on a long trip, carrying spare AAs or carrying a charger might be too much. So that's a consideration. I suppose I could buy disposables along the way, but I hate disposables.Good shaver, I keep buying them, not because they fail but because I keep losing them, or destroying them through abuse.Recommended.-kb

This razor goes where I go!
This little electric razor is without peer, for the very special and specific needs where it best serves me. My main and everyday shaver lives in my bedroom at home and gets used there most every morning. But I have used this amazing little Braun razor for over fifteen years now, for my on the spot, must-have backup razor needs! I have two of these failsafe shavers, and they go with me wherever I go! One travels with me in my car, and the other lives in my dop-kit, ready to be there when I must travel on short notice! I am on the move a lot, and the one in my car serves me more frequently than any of my shavers, and keeps me shaved, neat and tidy as needed throughout the day's needs and demands. These little razors are easy to use while on the move, and they are absolutely indestructible! I know of no other small, strong and easy to use electric razor that uses standard AA batteries and that shaves and travels as well as my favorite small Braun M-90 shavers do!

Not sure yet.
At first use I’m concerned with the potential lack of closeness in the shave. I was just getting a once over under my chin and neck area, but what I thought would result in a pretty smooth shave actually took me a lot longer to get all of the hairs down short enough to feel good.I’m hopeful that I’ll see a difference when I need to trim a longer stub but if the feeling is the same as this first once over, I will probably return this item.I do like the feel of it in my hand- a good solid weight. The power is good too. Started right up, compact design that packs a punch. I just hope the foil head can actually do the job when I make a serious shave attempt.

Almost perfect
This travel shaver is almost perfect. It provides a very close shave very quiet. I’m glad he comes with AA battery so this will last a long time those rechargeable ones don’t tend to last very long because overtime the battery will fail since it uses a AA battery this will probably last for a long time One feature that this item is not good is the trim. The trim is almost useless. Overall, I like it the right size very thin, perfect for traveling.

Horrendous
The shaving experience with this thing is the worst I have experienced in my entire life. My face is not particularly demanding of razors… I have thinner and less dense facial hair that doesn’t grow very fast and tends to all lay in one direction, and I do not have particularly sensitive skin. Shaving one single day of growth with this piece of trash takes 20+ minutes and leaves me covered with so much razor rash that for the next few hours it looks like I rubbed poison ivy all over my face.If you were thinking the Braun name printed on this thing meant it would have some trace of family resemblance to their full-sized electric shavers… it does not.

Very good, but for he right beard.
Excellent and at a fair price. A well made product. I have purchase and used these for years. I travel with one and I use them for gifts. Believe it or not hair is different thickness, some what by color, Red is the thinest, Blond is next, Brown is after Blond and Black is the thickest hair for Europeans. Wavy hair is more oval shaped and tight curly hair is almost flat.Well these work best on Red and Blond straight hair. They are so - so on Brown and not as good on Black. Beards get darker, thicker, and heavier with folks from Eastern Europe and Western Asia and they get curlier with folks from Africa. These are excellent razors for the thinner yet stiffer straight hair folks. But, you really need to try a razor to know how it will work for you. It you have the right type of beard this is a fantastic razor. See if a friend who has the same type of beard likes this make and type of razor before buying. Talk with a barber about your hair type. Visit a store that sells several different types and makes of razors to learn what is best for you.
