Start and end the day with a little luxury beneath your feet. Our reindeer hide fur rugs are so incredibly soft and deep you can lose your toes in the fur! Use these hides as rugs in the bedroom or lounge or as accent pieces as throws over your bed or furniture. Use them as outdoor wraps on cooler evenings. We've even seen them used as wall art. Ice hotels use them as duvets! Being a natural product, the colours vary from hide to hide but are mainly natural tones, with accent hues of brown, mink, cream and grey. We suggest if you use your reindeer hide as a rug it is used in a lower traffic area to maximise its durability because they are not quite as strong as cowhides. However, please be aware that (as with most deep pile carpets) there will be some negligible shedding of hair. Our hide rugs are top quality, silicone coated (making them water-proof so can be used inside or out) and hollow haired which means they have outstanding insulation and warmth. This is a high quality natural product which means that there will probably be significantly less hair loss than the lower quality reindeer hides obtainable elsewhere. Finally, you can buy with a clear conscience, safe in the knowledge that reindeer hides are a natural by-product from the meat industries in Finland and Norway. Our reindeer hides are not sourced from flocks farmed for their fur.
