The Hidden Power of a Woman
The Hidden Power of a Woman is very spiritual and enlightening. This books focuses on issues that have long alluded and confused women about the purpose for their creation and their position in Christ. However, Chadva, the author does a wonderful job of getting to the heart of this matter. He describes the purpose, power, ability and god-given right of the woman to take dominion over the things of this world. It solidifies and equalizes her so that she will feel comfortable to excercise her authority in God. As Chavda put it, "the daughter of the Lion (of Judah) is a Lion. How long we have waited for this declaration. This book will Bless the lives of many women.

Page 1 to 80 - We learn how women have been treated as second class by men. How at create and during the first century church women and men were equal.Page 81 to 99 - Is an imagined version of Rahab and the Hebrew scouts. The author adds many things to create a story. The spies are given names and it seems to have a little romance added.Pages 101 to 114 - Talk about Rahab needing to make a choice. There was also the story of Jo who was sexually abused and in a same sex relationship. At a Chavdah conference she got saved . After that time she joined a Christian ministry and had a leadership position in her church.Pages 115 to 132 - Feminism and a christian mother expressing her perspective on on emerging global feminism titled "Lament" (5 pages)Pages 132 to 135 - More learning how women have been treated as second class by men. How at create and during the first century church women and men were equal.Page 136 to 162 - Is an imagined version of Deborah the judge. The author adds many things to create a story.Page 163 to 174 - Deborah does not get the credit she deserves. In some versions the donkey is a female. Most of the Scripture versions just state donkey. The author explains that many women feel like that donkey.Page 217 to 226 - Is an imagined version of Anna. The author adds many things to create a story.Page 227 to 232 - Widow at 27 finds her way through relying on God.Page 233 to 244 - The Red HeiferPage 244 to 252 - Power of the VoiceFor me this book spent a lot of time putting men and society down. The women of the Bible had additions to their accounts that were never mentioned. Modern women's stories who found their voice were short in page length compared to the Biblical accounts. I feel that the book never answered what the hidden power of a woman is. I would have wanted a book that was in three parts: how their voice was lost; Biblical information; how we help them find their voice. Almost half of the book talks about how society and men are repressing women. Less than 25% of the book is about women finding their voice in modern times. How am I supposed to understand the hidden power of a woman and how to help her step into that power when it is not the major portion of the book. I pray that woman can find her voice and hidden power through this book.
