Acme Louis Philippe Queen Bed in Cherry

I like how it looks and how high it is compared to my last bed frame, I do have a really thick mattress though so it’s pretty tall; however the back side of the head board and foot board are not painted it just has the overlap paint on the edges and then you see the wood underneath in the middle. You 100% need to follow directions to a T or it’s not going to be sturdy or look amazing.

DO NOT BUY - Complete waste of money. Headboard and footboard look good but really soft so dent easily. Platform support slats underneath are SUPER flimsy and spaced out too far to give ANY support for sleeping. One of the main wooden slats broke within a week of set up. Total waste of money. Very disappointing quality. Utter rubbish!

I was worried at first, because the box seemed so light and small. But after putting the entirely wooden frame together it is very sturdy and nice looking. I did use double stick tape to hold the four screw covers in place. So far I really like it.

Alright pros first This bed looks very very nice, my mom loves the antique grey color. I was able to assemble it myself as a 19 year old female. Cons...lord. The instructions were SO unclear at times. It basically just shows you the finished step and you have to figure out how it works. If you’re someone who struggles with instructions, I’d suggest getting some help with this. I had two pieces missing! You’re supposed to have three under bed supports, I only had one. Thankfully the bed seemed sturdy enough with just the one in the middle, but the boards they give you to put across the frame are so weak and flimsy that if my mom didn’t have a box spring I’d be worried just her mattress would break them. Overall...this was alright. I managed to build it because I’ve conveniently been building a lot of beds (we just moved) but the instructions really were difficult to follow, just because they were poorly written. The head and footboard feel high quality but everything else is debatable. In general, it’s a good bed frame, and it seems remarkably sturdy if you get all the parts. If you’re generally able to figure instructions out, then I’d suggest buying this bed frame.

It fell apart yesterday!! Not happy with this construction and materials. Poor design caused a malfunction and flaw and it collapsed at the headboard joint!!

Looks great for price. Seems solid enough but was missing two of the supports that go under the crossbeams. Looks like a common problem looking at some of the reviews. But after a Lowe's trip for a couple more I think it will still be great for the value.

I ordered almost this same frame from. Different vendor, this is actually a better quality and cost 1/3 the price of the one I was shipped in the Wrong Size! Let me also say that the bed arrived in 2 days and not 4 like was posted at the time and I have bee sleeping in my living room for a while while tile had been installed, I am so excited to give it a test run tonight

Junk! The box came half open, the one corner was all scratched up, one of the holes for the screws was too big so the screw doesn't fit, the side piece for the foot boards wasn't cut correctly so it doesn't line up and the little pegs that hold up the cross boards are too short, barely touches the floor. Once I finally got the pieces together, the bed is super wobbly.
