if the timer gets disconnected from the phone app, will the timer continue as scheduled by the app?

The guy who said this is a plain jane timer is wrong, this timer has Bluetooth built in but the B Hyve Hub is required for internet connectivity & smart watering and yes once the timer is programed it will retain the program even if disconnected from the app

How much time must you allow to change batteries before you have to re program the timer?

I change the batteries at the beginning of spring each year. I then reprogram the Orbit once again. It is very easy to do and takes me less then ten minutes. I've had other water control devices and this one is the best and the easiest to use.

Make sure you turn it to auto after you set the time of day, how often you want it to go on and for how long. The last step is to set it on AUTO. If you turn it off, just set it to AUTO when you turn it back on.
