Excellent watch!
I bought this watch as a replacement for the one I've used for over 12 years and still works fine, but the replacement band not so much. These watches last for a long time, and they keep accurate time. I used the first one for years as a soccer referee, and it was light-weight and easy to use while running. I use it while working out, and I'm not afraid to use it in the rain (maybe not a deluge, but most "regular amounts" of rain prove no problem). It includes both a stopwatch and a countdown timer, and it has three different alarms. I highly recommend it.

Love the watch. Functionality and reasonable price point.
We are dedicated Timex Expedition users - have been for decades.Tons of features, timers, alarms, chrono. Two time zones, for those who travel and/or have out-of-state/country relatives.Nite-Glo.Water resistance.Cons:The inner workings have changed over time. Over a decade ago I could change the battery and it still would function. Now it's hit or miss on battery replacement. Also, changing the battery breaks the seal, and water resistance is no longer guaranteed.

Great wrist-watch at a wonderful price!
I originally purchased this wrist-watch at Wal-mart for about half the price currently listed; at the moment they seem to be having technical difficulties on their website. I love how comfortable and functional the watch is and most importantly it tells time accurately. I would really recommend this product to anyone and I find that the fact that it is made in the Phillipines is very interesting. I presume the popularity of 3-dimensional printing is going to make it easier to replace and create not only medical devices but also, parts on watches as well ad give designers the option and capability to re-create past models and it'll be interesting to see how manufacturers will prevent intellectual property from being stolen iternationally. Basically, an excellent watch for the price, I'd buy this watch again and I did but I happened to find the one I had lost (return process was simple and easy). I was even able to replace the battery for $10 which was over half the cost of the purchase price but it was well worth it, if you're on the fence concerning this purchase, I say go for it!

Solid watch - compass is a bit gimmicky
The watch itself is great. It has a comfortable strap. Accessing functions is fairly easy. Great illumination and I really like that it has a vibrating alarm. I do short dives in the ocean (not that deep as it's freediving) and it holds up well. The only complaint is the compass is lightly affixed to the strap and easily pops off. Mine came off when rinsing the salt water off it after the second use. But I've been using it for a while now and no other issues. Recommend investing in something more rugged if you're planning on extrenuous activities. Definitely wouldn't trust it as your sole compass (it's more like a kids toy compass). As for sizing, I'm a petite woman with slim wrists. The men's 40mm fits comfortably and doesn't look like I'm wearing a dinner plate on my wrist.

Expedition watch is my #1 watch to use for many years
The tiny compass is worthless. Compass does not point true north and is so small you need a magnifying glass to see it. The watch band is a rubber type band that looks good but makes my wrist sweat. I took the watch band off and used an older 2 inch wide military strap type watch band that fits better and covers the watch so it does not get scratched. The Expedition watch is the same type of watch that I have used for many years. I don't buy any other type of watch. It has two time zones, stop watch, and it lights up to see at night but turns off after a few seconds so you don't waste the battery or the light. My old expedition watch that I still use and have had for many years has had the battery replaced only once. The light doesn't work any more but it is still a reliable watch and everything else besides the light works. This is the reason I bought the same type of watch again so that the new one can be used as a dress watch and can take me to at least 2065. I do recommend the Expedition watch without the compass. The price is very budget friendly.

Does it still take a licking & keep on ticking...?
Seems they've cheapened up the Expedition watches. This version is a lot more "Plasticky" and chintzy looking. The band features a wee compass that sort of seems to function. Guess it'd be better than nothing if you were lost in the woods. (LoL).Function button layout is a tad different than before.Definitely liked the previous design better.
