Be sure to have the correct tool holder
Works great. If you break one end you can turn it around and use the other side. Used it for turning a stainless steel shaft.

Nice inserts for Low Carbon Steel.
This inserts is good enough for my need ( low carbon steel), but for high carbon steel, this insert are not strong enough.

These have held up real well doing internal boring.

They did what they were supposed to. Maybe I'm just bad on the lathe, but several broke and several wouldn't start a cut.

My Atlas 618 loves this cutoff tool, works better and no chatter. better than HSS.
