This is a useless gadget.
It took longer to use and made a bigger mess than just cutting herbs with a regular knife. Dull. Smashed herbs into the cutting board. Waste of money and kitchen space.

Not as nice looking as my neighbors SS model but...
Not as nice looking as my neighbors SS model but we both agree this is a superior cutting tool with easier clean-up. Works very well on onions, cilantro, basil, thyme, rosemary, chili peppers of all kinds, garlic (if one cross-sections and peels it first of course) AND, safer than using a kitchen knife (mine are very sharp Henkels).

Absolutely worthless
Gourmet? No way. This thing just doesn’t work. I’ve tried on rosemary, cilantro, basil, scallions, chives, dill, and something else. I’ve literally tried this every day since I bought it, and all it does is smash the herbs into a sloppy mess. It doesn’t cut anything. I press down hard, it feels like it’s going to break but makes 1-2 slices. I flip it over and same result. This is literally the most useless piece of plastic in my house. But that’s what I get for being lazy about chopping herbs. I’m not mad. But I don’t recommend this at all.

Not perfect, but it does the job!
I bought his item to speed up the process for cutting lattice strips for my miniature peach cobblers, I couldn't be happier! No, it's not perfect, but it does what I need it to do. The strips do tend to stick together a little bit, but as long as I place enough flour on the surface before I start cutting it's not that big of an issue and the strips maintain their structural integrity. It comes apart for quick and easy clean up (just make sure you don't accidentally drop the pin that holds the rollers down the sink!).

Mashes instead of cutting
I have tried this on a few different fresh herbs and found it consistently macerates the herbs rather than cleanly slicing or cutting them. It rinses clean easily enough, but am pretty disappointed in it's performance. Currently living in the donation box. Hopefully someone else can find a good use for it. Purchased a more efficient herb cutter at a local store. This was cheaply made , so definitely got what I paid for... not a usable tool.

Very cheaply made!
The idea is great. The product...not so much. I bought this mainly to chop herbs from my garden. The blades are not too sharp, therefore you need to push down quite hard to make the blades go through the leaves. If you push too hard, the plastic will break. I think it might work if the handle was made of something more solid but the plastic cracked with slight pressure. It wouldn't even go thru any of my basil leaves. Very disappointed!

Works for me
I'll bet I'm the only reviewer who bought this to use with cat food. I accidentally bought wet cat food in "cuts", not paté. I have arthritis and can't mash it with a fork like I used to. It's hard to find individual containers of food so I have a large quantity on hand. This works perfectly for me. It lets go of the food when I tap against the bowl. It minces into more ground up consistency which the cats prefer, and we live to please them, of course. I can easily rinse off and re-use.Not sure I'll try it on my own food. I usually keep our utensils separate.
