A must have for parents with autistic children.
So far so good! My daughter is autistic her room is on the 2nd floor and she loves to hang out her window talking to our neighbors and when she's upset, the window becomes a portal for her to throw things out of. This has been a game changer. A must have for parents with autistic children.

They are re-keyable!
OK, being a locksmith by trade, they are not intended as such, but if you're technically-minded, having discovered that if you purchase more than one, that they are random-keyed (not keyed-alike), you can easily pull the core out and re-arrange the tumblers to a limited degree and achieve some of your purchase keyed-alike. Of course, a locksmith has a tumbler kit to make this easier. So just realize, if you need a bunch of these for a project, some will come keyed-alike, others won't. For example, my order of a dozen resulted in Keyed-Alike groups of 4, 3, 3, 2.Lock wholesale suppliers don't generally carry this stuff, as they're considered "trinket" cheapy locks, but they have their place for low-security needs. You will want to use different screws if installed on metal doors/windows, the supplied ones are too soft. And, needless to say, they shouldn't be installed on doors/windows where they would impede egress in an emergency. And white is not my desired color, but beggars can't be choosers. These are marketed under various names, but seems if intended for residential market, they're white, for commercial, they're dull silver.

Perfect
This was just what we needed for our sliding door. I used some special screws that can't be easily removed to improve security.

It locks if you are not careful
When I bought this, I thought it locks when the key is inserted. You can easily push it in without a key. So if it accidentally gets pushed in the hole and you left your keys inside the house, you’re screwed and you just locked yourself out.

Good quality. See my pics for mounting hardware.
The quality is very good, unlike 3 other types of keyed window locks that I had in my house. Usually these types of window locks aren't well made - they get stuck, hard to get key out, hard to push latch in, thin metal. Not this Prime-Line lock. It's solidly built and all operations are smooth. It comes with two ways of mounting as shown in the picture. Each way had 2 pieces, so that the window can locked fully or at a partially open position, which is good for hot summer days.Installation tip: drill pilot holes before driving the screws in to avoid cracking the wood. Think about where glass is usually inserted into the wood to avoid drilling into glass and breaking it. There's sharp dimple at the tip of the bolt for marking the hole on the other side. Use the mark to position drill bit.
