FOLLOW THAT EGG!-GLI Board book – January 7, 2014

This was perfect for my daughter's Easter basket. She LOVES Umizoomi but there are so few toys or products for it. The book involves bunnies and colored eggs but no reference to the actual Easter holiday. This book is sturdy, very bright and colorful, has multiple textured glitter parts on every page (but does NOT have any glitter rub off thankfully), uses many of the phrases from the show, and overall is exactly what I was looking for. Each page also has a question about counting in a corner (not with the regular text of the story) such as " How many bunnies do you see?" It is 10 pages long and each page has about 1-3 sentences (non-rhyming) plus the question about counting.

I’d give it five stars, except for the fact that my four year old informed me that there is a mistake in this book. Haha. He knows his Umi Zoomi, and he knows this episode especially well. The “Egg Cracker” in this book is, in fact, supposed to be the Shell Smasher. My child was quite disappointed in this error. I always have to make sure I say it correctly when I read it to him. Cute book, though. And he still loves it!

I have an Umizoomi-loving child. She goes crazy for Umizoomi and since the show is a bit older, it was really difficult to find umizoomi toys that didn't cost and arm and a leg. These books go along with the episodes and have been great for developing her speech. She is a bit behind on speech but will sit and point out the objects in the book. I really get her talking so this is a major accomplishment for us.

This book is based off an Easter episode of Team Umizoomi. My daughter loves that show, she is 2 and it has helped her learn her numbers and how to count. She just loved the quest for the rainbow egg so I thought getting her the book would be great for her Easter basket. I was right! She loves books in general, and requests that one a lot. It was a great purchase and the book is great quality for toddlers.

Kids love this book. Interactive as it asks them to count things. Perfect for any child who loves Umizoomi as it is similar to one of their episodes.

My almost 2 year old is a huge fan of Umizoomi, so I got him this book for Easter. He loves the textured glitter of the eggs. We also love doing the "Crazy Shake" dance at the end. It's very fun to read this book with him.

Worked great as an Easter basket present!
