I bought this for maple syrup production. I wanted a ladle that would fill a half-pint container with one scoop. This is a solid one-piece ladle that does its job and does it well. It does hold exactly 4 oz. and pours without making a mess. The hook at the top is great for hanging it off the side of the pot or bucket where we are working, keeping our work surface cleaner. The only complaint that I have is the label takes some real elbow grease to remove. I ended up soaking it in boiling water, scraping off as much of the label as I could with my fingernail, and then using a Mr. Clean eraser to remove the gunk left over. It took about 5 minutes of cleaning to remove it. Once gone, no problem. I'll likely buy another size as our syrup production increases.

On the picture there is a board made from something that looks like hardwood. What I received is like double spaced year's mark outer layers wood of something that gets marked by my fingernail. Washed it and cut a peach - the board got permanently stained by the juices. Poured some cottonseed oil and rubbed it - the wood consumed it in minutes.Did not expect the extreme quality of my very old $10 cutting board but was hoping for hard wood impregnated with high quality mineral oil. Will not return it but not happy with the product.Giving 3 stars being very generous. If the board warps or breaks in a month will update the review to 1 star.

I was looking for a really small ladle for my mason jar and this one is the perfect size! I make cold crew coffee ahead of time for the whole week, but pouring it out of the mason jar always makes a mess. This size fits perfectly into the jar, and is not too big for my zojiroshi thermos cup. The whole thing is stainless steel so you don't have to worry about high heat melting it.

Good value. Huge quality improvement over a plastic ladle. Handle length seems just about right. Make sure to double check if you actually need this size: almost got a size larger and glad I didn’t. For average kitchen use, this is about as big as I’d imagine needing. Also be careful if you have shallow drawers, this just barely fits if nothing is under the scoop part.

It’s not a fancy slotted spoon, and it does its job very well. I post the photo to show its size relative to a teaspoon because the slotted spoon is larger than I expected. The reason I say it’s not a fancy spoon is because the stainless steel handle shows scratches a bit so you might want to use your sterling when the Queen visits.

I would give it a 5 star, but I have to agree with the other reviews, the sticker is nasty, I had to rub it off several times with Goo-Off and still some more. It's a very nice and well made ladle, not too small or big.

The only issue I had with this very sturdy ladle is how to get the sticker residue off-- you'll notice others complaining that not even goo gone will do it. I discovered the trick-- spray it with non-strick spray, leave it for a while, and the sticky residue slides right off! This is a great ladle and has served me well as it serves from mason jars.

I was hesitant to buy one of these as most on the market look cheap. I have been using this to dip into pizza sauce and spread it out on the crust all sexy like a pro. It is well made, thick, and durable. I will be buying again.
